JohnEBGood
I really just started this thread to get out some pent up excitement for this one. I'm a die hard militar FPS fan....be it PC or console. MoH:PA looks to be a great game. ive seen most screens and a couple gp vids and it looks like they combined some of the cooler aspects of CoD and added their own good stuff too. WOW! November....be here NOW!
Angry the Clown
It's on my radar too. I like the fact you can be a medic and be relied upon to administer medipacks to the other members. I'm big on team play where there is a real call for teamwork. I had a lot of fun with the multiplayer on Allied Assault, but there was no real push for solid teamwork. This time round it seems different, though I admit I am still slightly more partial to the settings of Allied Assault. What with this, Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, Half Life 2, Rome Total War and Battle for Middle Earth?. I?ve never looked forward to so many PC games in my life. I don?t know if it is a blessing or a curse that their release dates are going to fall practically on top of one another. Daniel

I'm really hoping they will still offer a solid vanilla deathmatch. It's still my favorite mode of MP next to co-op and the original was our monthly LAN party mainstay for well over a year. Angry the Clown
Demo has been released: http://www.fileplanet.com/files/140000/145203.shtml 540mb single player demo. In currently being stuck on 64k ISDN I'll have to pass on downloading this, but would love to hear what it's like form anyone else. Cyberwoo
I downloaded the demo and just played it. First off....600megs worth of a demo for less than 5 minutes of game?!?!?! WTF. Anyway the game seemed OK but the demo doesn't give me nearly enough to make a judgement call on. To me it just seemed like another arcadey WWII themed shooter heavy on eyecandy and low on substance. Hard to say when the demo ends less than 5 minutes after starting it. I will say that even on the hard difficulty (realistic mode isn't available in the demo) the game was far too easy. Not once did I feel like my life was in danger. Anyway it almost felt like a rail shooter. Follow narrow path, kill enemies, follow path, kill more enemies, take control of a big turret and shoot down some planes. The end. That was it. I exited the demo feeling very underwhelmed. I wont be spending my $ on this one.
Angry the Clown
Thanks for that report. I must say my attention is far more drawn to next year's Brothers in Arms than the next MOH game. Dan
Parrish
It is a ridiculously short demo for that size download. The one thing I hadn't seen before is the medic system. No health packs - you call for a medic to get health back, and while he helps you you are extremely vulnerable. Also, if you get down to zero, you sit there wounded waiting for a medic (with a kind of 'shock' effect until you are healed). The graphics and sound are fine, but it's hard to get a real feel for the rest of it in that timeframe.
