Carlucci
I was at Johnson Space Center last year and saw a DeLorean with vanity plates that said SPCEMAN or something like that. I figured it belonged to an astronaut. It was in great shape, too. Carlos.
JTello
The dirty rugs and crack leather on the seats sort of tarish this vehicles mystique. Is it just me, or should these cars only been viewed in pristine glory. You just can't go fooling around with people's childhood memories and dreams like this. My choldhood memories are of helping to push my parents friend's Deloreans down the street so they could pop the clutch and try getting the thing to start. Thrillho
Looking at the pics the speedometer only goes to 85mph, How would you know when you hit the required 88 mph?
JTello
I'm no gearhead, but I think the lighting and shit flying all over the car would indicate you've reached 88mph.
Thrillho
Now I remember the lightning, but I don't recall shit being intrical in the time traveling process.

merlot
It's no wonder it needed the flux capacitor... in it's stock form it's severely underpowered and heavy, hence the poor sales. However, I wouldn't mind having one parked in my garage (that is, when I get a garage )

A neighbor had one and fortunately for me he kept the thing garaged. My favorite moment was seeing a passenger of a car give "DeLorean man" a big thumbs down as he drove by. Poor "DeLorean man". At least he tried to be cool.

Graeme
The Delorean in the movies was ALWAYS broken too. (Funny, I just watched BTTF3 last night. This thread probably had something to do with that). A family friend had one when I was younger too. It was pretty cool, but they didn't use it all that much after the newness of having one wore off. The son that was my age did get to go to grad in it though... and it certainly was much more original than a limo, and much cooler than the minivan I drove in.
