Peter must face new challenges as he struggles to cope with "the gift and the curse" of his powers while balancing his dual identities as the elusive superhero Spider-Man and life as a college student. The relationships Peter holds most dear are now in danger of unraveling as he clashes with the powerful, multi-tentacled villain Doctor Octopus aka "Doc Ock" (Alfred Molina). Peter's life-long yearning for M.J. becomes even stronger as he fights the impulse to abandon his secret life and declare his love. In the meantime, M.J. has moved on with her life. She has embarked on an acting career and has a new man in her life. Peter's relationship with his best friend Harry Osborn (James Franco) has been overshadowed by Harry's growing vendetta against Spider-Man, whom he holds responsible for his father's death. Peter's life becomes even more complicated when he is pitted against the powerful new nemesis, "Doc Ock." Peter must now learn to accept his fate and harness all his superhero talents in order to stop this diabolical madman in his octagonal tracks. Angry the Clown
Nice to see a Superbit is being released same day I agree, of course they were not good enough to bother making it a Superbit Deluxe, but oh well. I've no real interest in how they made it, so Superbit for me regardless as that'll tie me over 'til Sony try to pimp the film some more with a Blu-Ray release and I can afford to buy it. boogieman
According to the rumor mill, they're already plannning Spiderman 2 Director's cut for a dvd release much later than the release mentioned here.
Angry the Clown
Well Rami did say other versions were in the works, but not a director's cut as such since he cut very little. The only deleted scene he seemed to have any interest in showing as what he deems to be a funny extra J.J Jameson seen. He didn't seem to show much love for Sony's multiple-issue plans. Again, sony are going to start forcing Blu Ray on us as of next winter, so they're only getting one sale out of me on DVD with Spider-man 2. Mark E
Sony can try and shove Betamax down my throat but that doesn't mean I'm going to accept it :green:. Basic release is fine by me. I'm not double-dipping anymore, so screw you studios :tu:
