tiac
Just yesterday my computer was running fine, then I installed SP2 and all hell breaks loose. It asked me to restart my machine and then it either locks up while loading Windows or give me the "blue screen of death". So I reinstalled the OS and started from scratch and go to install SP1 and when I reboot it does the same damn thing! I am now running the machine without any SP's and feel unsafe. Could anyone help me out....your 2 cents would be great.
merlot
Did you format the drive and do a clean install? Sounds like a virus or possibly a hardware related issue.
tiac
No I just reinstalled it over the OS on there. I'm going to clean install in a bit. Hopefully it will solve this. Thanks

foogledricks
My computer is running so well, I don't want to mess with it [by installing SP2]. As for your problem, yeah, do a clean install. That should solve your problem. It is possible you're having a coincidental hardware problem. Cross that bridge after you do a clean install. Eldorado
Well, I've been running SP2 since the link was posted here and haven't had a single problem yet. I'd say I was lucky if I didn't know any better. Sean
