Baiter
My wifes ibook decided to crap out on us today. I still get lights for caps/num locks, and it makes the customary "boing" noise when I hit the power button, but nothing displays on the screen. :bang: Anyone have any suggestions, I'm pretty much mac illiterate, so any help would be appreciated. This thing is pretty old, so I suspect it belongs in the trash heap, but we've got many hours of work that I'd like to scrape of it before it's put to rest. Camp
Not sure if it helps but mine died once and it turned out to be a bad power supply. It was about a $150 fix -or free if you have the AppleCare warranty.

xPieter
Could also be the logic board. Lots of iBooks having this problem, including my wife. Check here for all the details. Pieter
