Romier S
Came across this in my travels. Keep in mind this is all but confirmed by a few people that have already recieved the issue but I won't say it's 100% until I get the issue myself. Beer Monkey
They should include a Blinx 2 demo that doesn't have a serious bug when using inverted controls. I let my sub expire about a year ago when the demo discs had gotten kind of lame...maybe I need to subscribe again.
MrJames
I received my first issue yesterday. It was the October issue not November though. I do have a question. When I got mine yesterday there was no plastic wrap just the mag with the demo stuck inside. The demo disc could have easily fallen out or been swiped. Is this how they are always sent out? Agreed Michael, though I did enjoy what I played of the game. Seems a good improvement over the first Blinx.

I always get the issue in a plastic bag, with the demo disc in it's own cardboard sleeve loose in the bag. Maybe you received it that way because your subscription started after the mass mailing, and they sent along from their surplus. Either that or your mailman is a gamer! 8) Carlos. MrJames
My demo disc was in in the cardboard sleeve but it wasn't secured very well in the mag. I hope it was because it was my first issue. I'll be raising hell if the next one shows up like this though. I hope the Outrun 2 online portion of the demo mentioned turns out to be true. Beer Monkey
I just subscribed through the online web form. I don't suppose there's any chance I'll get the next issue...
MrJames
I subscribed on 08/24 and got the October issue yesterday.
Beer Monkey
Well, that means that the demos might be a bit stale by the time I get them. Ah, it's my own damn fault...I meant to subscribe a month ago.
Dan B.
I've had a chance to play the Outrun 2, Otogi 2, Area 51, & BloodRayne 2 demos. I liked all of them except for Outrun 2, to my surprise...as I am a big fan of racers. (just felt way too disconnected from the car or road. It lacked the feel of actually driving a car at all....too arcadey for me) BloodRayne 2 was fun, Area 51 was a surprise as I haven't folowed the game at all, and Otogi 2 was as expected - minus some slowdown anyways. (or should I say plus some slowdown!) Hopefully it'll be worked out before the game's released, as one section of the demo in particular had a pretty slow framerate. iainl
Do I really need to comment on the OutRun2 demo again? I've played it more this month than practically any full game. LOVE it.
heavy liquid
I think this is the best collection of demos that the OXM has had, yet! Hopefully I'll get my copy soon...
Kain rising
I enjoyed the Outrun 2 demo and the Bloodrayne 2 demo. I suck at both of them, but that just means I have a reason to play them again... and again...
FLYING SE7EN
Damn. I think I've got a bum disc. It won't load in my X-box, and I'm not having any trouble with any other games. Did anyone else ever get a dud from OXM? I wonder if I can get them to send me another one.. J.
heavy liquid
I had a problem with a disc about a year or so ago, and they sent me a new one. It shouldn't be a problem. You might also want to try boiling the disc. I've had to do this to a few OXM discs, and had success with all of them.
FLYING SE7EN
Ok. There's a form on the OXM website that you can fill out to get a replacement disc. It'll take 3-4 weeks to arrive :bang: Oh well, its not like I don't have enough games to keep me busy. You might also want to try boiling the disc. :wtf: You lost me on that one. Boiling you say??? LimeyYankee
You lost me on that one. Boiling you say??? Yup, I had to do the same thing for the Chronicles of Riddick demo a few months back, and it worked  Just get yourself a pan, fill it half full, and let it cook :green: Once the water started boiling, I put the disk in for a minute or so, dried it of and it was good to go! YMMV I would be interested to hear from anyone on what this actually does to the disk, just curious. Matt
heavy liquid
Right, I've had to do this on about 3 or 4 discs. Burnout 2 and a few OXM discs. Follow LimeyYankee's instructions. Just make sure you tie a string (I used thread) through the center hole of the disc. Lower it into the boiling water making sure the disc is completely submerged, and doesn't touch the sides or bottom. Keep it in for about 15 seconds (I can't remember the exact length, but I think that's it. Maybe someone else can verify this). It may warp slightly a bit in the water, but will spring back when you take it out. Take it out and set it on a flat surface label down for a minute or two to let it cool down, and then wipe off excess water with a clean cotton cloth (don't use napkins). I don't remember why it works either, but it does.
AnthonyVolpe
The Guy Game 1.5 A bit generous on that one, weren't they?
Dan B.
I had to boil this disc, too, to get it to work. I cooked it for 15 seconds. :tu: YMMV
JohnEBGood
Outrun2 didn't really have all that much unique stuff, IMO. Fun, but nothing new. I'm looking forward to seeing what Godzilla is like when it comes out. I think it oughtta be pretty interesting, to say the least.
