heavy liquid
They're mentioned in November OXM. It says to visit slurpee.com, but there's nothing up there yet. Here's a couple pics of the cups. They actually look pretty cool! http://nikon.bungie.org/images/slurpeecups1.jpg http://nikon.bungie.org/images/slurpeecups2.jpg
Carlucci
Allright, somebody is going to have to hook a brother up here in the 7-11 deprived Houston. I will pay for your Slurpees and shipping, if someone will collect an extra set for me. Carlos.
Jeff W
There are no 7-11's in Detroit, and you can't rightly blame them for that, but there are tons in the surrounding burbs and I'll be making the trek. :tu:

Carlucci
We used to have them all over Houston. One of my fondest memories as a pre-teen was riding my bike to the corner 7-11, buying a Slurpee, and playing video games in their makeshift gamerooms. Then at some point they decided to pull out. The old 7-11 is now a Used tire store. Houston now has mostly Stop 'n Go stores. You can't get a slurpee anywhere, but you can get an Icee, which is very similar. Although I would love to try the Mountain Dew slurpee. That sounds pretty good! Carlos.

Virex
Here in Oklahoma City, you can't drive more than a mile or two without driving past a 7-11 store. If those are reusable, I'll pick at least one of them up for myself, and I'll be glad to pick up a set for anyone who wants one, too. Just PM me or something. MrJames
Closest one to me is in Ormond Beach according to their website. Unless another hurricane comes forcing an evac then I won't be getting one.

One of the 7-11's near me had SoBe Energy Slurpees for a while, which I really liked. <!--QuoteBegin-Virex If those are reusable, I'll pick at least one of them up for myself, and I'll be glad to pick up a set for anyone who wants one, too. Just PM me or something. I think they should be reusable. They look like they're pretty good quality from the pictures. I'm hoping they're like the X-Games collector cups that they had recently. Those cost an extra dollar or two, but were really thick plastic. I'd also be happy to pick a set or two up for anyone who doesn't have a 7-11 near them. Just let me know. FLYING SE7EN
My nearest 7-11 is 143 miles away in Radford Va. No Halo cups for me... J.

General Zot
I'll definitely stop off at a 7-11 (one of maybe 10 in all Denver) on Nov 9th to have the full tilt, sell out experience of MC splashed on a slurpee cup. Of course, then I'll have that cup bronzed and hung on the wall.
Jordan_E
While I'm a littler nervous seeing Halo going this mainstream, I'll be picking up one of these bad boys, as I use those plastic cups for water drinking afterward. And it's been YEARS since I bought a Slurpee!
PoisonJam
While I'm a littler nervous seeing Halo going this mainstream... Yeah, that's the way I feel as well. I was in some game shops yesterday and I saw a bunch of Halo action figures all over the place. Good for Bungie and I hope they make a zillion bucks on all this stuff, but I still feel sad seeing the Disneyfication of what I had considered to be kind of "my" game on "my" system. As an Xbox owner in a PS2 world I've always felt like I was part of a "club" almost, and seeing our "club's" mascot splayed all over a Slurpee cup is a little disorienting. cane corso
They are all over the place in my area (Dallas). Until our office moved, we worked in the same building as the 7-11 corporate offices ( I had a Slurpee every day during those times....it was great ). I would be happy to grab some for those interested.
heavy liquid
I just bought all three cups from my local 7-11. They are NICE looking! Very thick plastic, with bright vibrant colors. It cost about $5 for all three. :green:
heavy liquid
If anyone sees the cups and wants them, make sure to get all three at once and don't put it off. I went to buy another set of them this afternoon and they're already ALL GONE! I went to 3 or 4 other stores in my area, and none of them have any. I'm not sure why I didn't ask if/when they're getting more in, but I'll try to remember to ask them tomorrow.
Virex
I checked with a store last week, and the guy had no idea about anything Halo. One thing that troubles me (as much as one can be "troubled" about some silk-screened plastic cups) is that, as far as I know, no 7-11 store here sells "Slurpees"--they're all called "Icees". And maybe they can't put "Icees" into "Slurpee" cups or something. Anyway, I noticed a thread over at DVD Talk about the cups. Apparently Mountain Dew and 7-11 are doing not only the cup promotion, but also they're giving away Halo 2 t-shirts with a certain number of Mountain Dew purchases. Here's the site: http://www.mountaindew.com/slurpee/halo2/i...243∨=slrp.331 (And that link can also be gotten to by going to the Slurpees.com link in the first post--but it just points back to the above URL.) And I wouldn't think that the cups would be in and out of stores that quickly. I mean, this looks to be a fairly big promotion, and the game doesn't even come out for another month. I'm sure we'll see more stores doing this building up through the release and even after that.
Kain rising
no 7-11 store here sells "Slurpees" A 7-11 that doesn't sell Slurpees? That's just sacrilege!

That's just sacrilege! Yeah, isn't that weird? But I've lived here all 28 years of my life, and have probably gotten several hundred of these things at several dozen different stores, and they've always been "Icys"--never "Slurpees". They've even had commercials during the summer before, complete with annoying "Icy drink" jingle. So, I have no idea what the deal is. It'd be like, in your town, if all the McDonald's sold "Huge Macs" instead of "Big Macs" or something. I just hope that this stupid, "what do we call our frozen ice beverages" thing doesn't mean that I can't get these Halo cups locally. . .
