JoeyN
Well I can not believe it but its already two years since Xbox Live has come out. Most of us have become friends because of Xbox Live, and more people join us every day. So to celebrate the Two year Birthday of Live we are doing a few things. One is this thread which will be a place to discuss your experiences with live, as well as have a discussion about past, present and future live games and features. On top of that Myself and others will be running events on live the entire month of October leading up to the release of Halo 2. You can see the list of events in the Live Area So to start some discussion. Every 3 days or so ill post a new question. Post your answers, reasons for the answer and so forth. Question 1: What is your favorite Live First Person Shooter???
Sherbz
Without a doubt RTCW. The clan-based gameplay and fantastic maps really made the game great. That plus many nights of full 16 player games and the tournaments we ran were a blast.
JoeyN
Rainbow Six (Orignal Release) for me. I love black arrow but the original will always be one of my favorite live games. I used to play it hours straight for weeks at a time. And the addition of new maps at the right times kept me going back for more. Return to Castle Wolf would have to be my second favorite. its the first live game which really brought big group games to live which people actually played. Doing the tournaments, and many team matchups is a experience ill never forget. RTCW is one of those games that came out at the right time. Live needed a game which could get lots of people together, and hold there intrest for a long time. It did just that capt
Robot Monkey
Overall? Ghost Recon. It looked like hell even then, but I loved the gameplay on Live. My only complaint is that I pretty much played it exclusively from launch to a little after RTCW came out. That really isn't a complaint about the game since there weren't any FPS alternatives for me, but I got (and remain) pretty sick of it. -j
Cyberwoo
RS3: BA for me. Its everything RS3 is + a couple new game modes for multiplayer and they fixed some well known bugs/exploits (lean glitching, etc.). To me when I play RS3:BA in a full room on a good server there isn't much else out there that beats it in terms of an overall enjoyable gaming experience. It helps that I am usually playing in a room full of RS3 veterans and friends who are all cool and play well together. That makes all the difference in the world sometimes. adamsappel
Wolfenstein. I wish we still played regularly.
Starhawk
I'll have to go with Rainbow Six 3 Original Release as that's pretty much the only one I've had a considerable amount of time with online.
Beer Monkey
Wolfenstein, except the sub level. We should play sometime!

montag66
GR/GR:IT I've moved on to other games but it takes something special to get a couple of hours of my busy evenings. GR/GR:IT really pulled me in. Heck, I'd bet that HTFJackRyan (Jason) is playing GR:IT as we speak!
MrJames
I'll say Rainbow Six. RTCW never drew me in because my work schedule prevented me from playing with everyone on a regular basis. The new maps kept RB6 fresh for a long time.
Josh
I'm gonna have to go with Crimson Skies. I love the freedom of flight, and the dogfights, team modes, and other bits of this game made it tons of fun online. It's a nightmare to play with the unwashed masses, though. iainl
I have to be honest, and say I've not really enjoyed any of the ones I've tried. This may partly be PC Fanboy speaking, but all the main ones for Live are things like Tom Clancy games - 'realistic', sneaking around, CS-alikes. These things do my head in as I'm (a) impatient, and ( rubbish at them. Halo 2 will probably be the first one that I'll play for more than a couple of goes, to be honest. DataTox
I haven't played any other shooter on Live more than I did the firs Ghost Recon. I would spend several hours a night, most nights, playing that for a solid 6 or 8 month time frame. It helped that my brother in law (who is also a good friend) was going to law school in Pittsburgh at the time, so it was a fun, cheap way to keep in touch. I also like Rainbow Six: Black Arrow quite a bit as well. While me City of Heroes obsession pretty much prevents me from getting much play time lately ( ), I give it a go as often as I can. DaveC
I would have to say Rainbow Six, unfortunately I started anew job about 7 months ago and it has greatly reduced my gaming time, I travel 99% of the time so I haven't really touched my xbox since the end of March. I finally come home in a week and will be staying put for a while so I look forward to trying some of the latest live games and especially Halo 2 which will have my undevided attention for quite some time I'm sure... Chris F
I'm going to go with Rainbow Six 3. Black Arrow is better overall, but the sheer amount of time and fun I had playing the original RS3 pushes it to the top of my list.

If RS3:BA had a very small map like the training ground in RS3, it would win hands down, but I've had way too much fun with the Sharpshooter mayhem on that map. Carlos. Calvin
RTCW - hands down! C'mon, the Sub Level was easy!! RS3 probably second, though I also love Crimson Skies...
JoeyN
The sub level is a lot of fun in regular play. During tournaments its the map that pissed people off the most. I loved it though capt
