What will be Halo 2's online flaw?

Carlucci

Which, if any, will be Halo 2's online flaw?

  1. 1. Which, if any, will be Halo 2's online flaw?

    • Problems with lag
    • Hackers find a way to ruin public online play (like RTCW)
    • Unbalanced weapon (like 50 cal in RS3)
    • Dirty Disc Errors
    • Servers Crash due to overload
    • Glitching discovered (like the lean glitch in RS3)
    • None of the above. Bungie thought of everything!

After being under development for such a long time, should we dare hope that none of these problems will surface?

My fear is the dreaded DDE. This won't really be bungie's fault, of course, but it seems that some games definitely suffer this worse than others. I really hope Halo 2 is not one of them.

Myself, I'm worried about the new item on Lik-Sang they're selling that will allow use of a keyboard and a mouse with an Xbox. It could really provide an unfair advantage to mouse / keyboard users if it actually work decently.

This has me worried as well.Hopefully we can keep that from happening here.

Otherwise it should be okay.

It had better... :?

A flaw doesn't have to be a bug or a security issue. It can be something like in MechAssault where people didn't like the lobby. I wonder how responsive Bungie will be to things that aren't necessarily flaws, but that (if changed) could make the game more fun? I bet that Bungie.net, and the configuration of statistics, will be the most highly modified components of Halo 2 in response to gamer recommendations.

Well, some glitching is already starting to surface.

Apparently, you sit in the passenger seat of the Warthog, with the Sword, and "lock" it on someone, holding down the trigger. Then you wait for them to move away, and exit the warthog while looking up in the direction you want to fly.

And fly you will! Here's a Movie with it in action on single player. They are saying it works in multiplayer too.

So someone with a sword and a sniper rifle could get to a really high position on some maps and have their way with you while out of range of most other weapons.

It's spreading through the internet now. Just be aware in case you play with the unwashed masses and you see a dude flying through the air.

That's pretty cool, .....for a glitch that I'm sure will soon be pissing us off online as we get sniped from the heavens. :? Doh!

Imagine the reaction of the person who first found that glitch when they first came across it. I bet their jaw dropped and then they must have been laughing thier ass off. :)

I wouldn't worry about it much. You need to get the sword and a sniper rifle, and then a warthog with a driver. And an enemy to lock. And then you actually need somewhere good to fly. I just don't see it happening much. If people actually waste time trying to do that in the fast-paced matchmade games they'll probably hurt their team more then help them.

And besides, you can already snipe from the heavens if you want, thanks to banshees. Heck, you can even get high up in the mountains around Coagulation with ghosts :)
