JoeyN
Tommorow night Enterprise begins season 4. With Manny Coto in charge of the writing staff now, and his love for the original series, can he turn the show around to get more viewers? Season 3 was in my opinion a excellent season long arc (in which coto wrote the best few episodes last season). With Manny Coto in charge i believe Star Trek will be back with the best writing its had since DS9. They brought in writers from a few hit shows, as well as some of the best Trek book writers as well. From all the info ive read about the many story arcs this season, fans of TOS wont want to miss out capt
Starhawk
I think I will be watching (and DVRing). I really havent been keeping up with the series until the very end of last season, and I have no idea who that guy was who appeared from the shadows in last years season finale. JoeyN
Well the guy in the shadows is some alien who travelled to the past and altered the time line to help the nazis during WW2 take over the eastern US coast. All complicated time travel stuff which if you havent watched will probably confuse you a little bit, but the rest of season 4 is supposed to be back to regular trek story lines capt

One of my biggest complaints with this series when it premiered was how it screwed up the whole timeline. It's much easier to take by just accepting the "alternate timeline" theory, which is kind of weird in itself. What other time-travelling have they been doing? JoeyN
To tell ya the truth. Ive watched the show from the start. Season 1 was good, season 2 started off good, and then ended good. Everything in between was garbage. Last year was very good as it had a season long story arc. I havent seen anything yet that has altered the trek universe. There has been a bunch of time travel stuff, with a Temporal cold war. We have seen other races not shown in other series. People think this breaks with the trek timeline. It dosnt do that at all as there are a ton of races in the trek universe we have heard about and havent seen on screen yet. capt
Starhawk
I didnt like the episode with The Borg. I always thought they should just be left alone in the Next Gen timeline. They explained the Borg on Enterprise with First Contact's time travel, but to me it just seemed like a way to spike ratings. "Numbers are down, do a BORG episode! YEAH"
JoeyN
The Borg thing to me wasnt really a big deal, as the Borg did travel back in time. If anything blame the movie First Contact and Picard/crew for messing it up for everyone

YEAH" Which, actually, is okay by me. :tu: I'm excited for the new season, too, as someone that didn't spend every waking moment nitpicking previous seasons to death, in some lame attempt to make myself seem smarter than I really am. *COUGH*Rex Bachmann*COUGH*
matt
I?ve always enjoyed Star Trek. I?m not a devout Treky as I haven?t followed all the shows but I have been following Enterprise. I?ve enjoyed it and I?m sure I?ll either watch or record tonight?s show. Is Friday night the official new time spot or will it be changing to another night? dogbert
Friday night's the official new timeslot. Thanks for the reminder, Joey, set up a season pass for it again. We'll see how long that sticks around this year...
JoeyN
One thing that people should do is. Stick around for the first 5 episodes. The first two finish up last years cliffhanger. Then there is a episode thats supposed to be a afterstory to last years arc. Then they go into new stuff including a 3 episode arc with Brett Spiner capt
JoeyN
Blast it. Here in NY fox owns the local UPN affiliate. So because the debate is on tonight they are moving the Yankee baseball game to UPN and showing the debate on fox. So no enterprise till Saturday night. Its happening in a few other areas as well capt
matt
Here's yet another instance where being on the West Coast is beneficial.
Starhawk
It's more like, "Numbers are down, T'Pol gets naked! YEAH" I hear you Joel. That was one of the "complaints" about the premier of Enterprise that I welcomed! Then they go into new stuff including a 3 episode arc with Brett Spiner Brent Spiner?! I didnt know about that. I'm looking forward to this a little more now.
Whooter
I just recently heard about the Spiner thing, myself. Is he going to be doing Data or one of his "brothers", or something completely different?
JoeyN
he playing a ancestor of Soong the creator of data A bunch of other actors from treks past, including past TOS charectors will be showing up this season as well capt
Whooter
Finally got to see Friday's premiere this afternoon. :tu:
Romier S
he playing a ancestor of Soong the creator of data He is playing Soong's great grandfather. Described as a "Hannibal Lecter" like bad guy. Should be interesting. Shattner is also supposed to be making a guest appearance.
Starhawk
I forgot to reply earlier, but I think this season is going to be really good. I was impressed by the season premiere.
JoeyN
I thought the premiere was pretty good as well. Im just waiting to see how they wrap up the Time War next week. However I'll reserve judgement on Enterprise until at least 7 episodes into the season. See if what happens after the cliffhanger, which B&B just left out there for the hell of it, is actually resolved or not. capt

Whooter
It took me a second to recognize him, but it was "Crewman Daniels"...
JoeyN
yep crewman Daniels. AKA federation guy from the future. Usually helps by giving archer info about the cold war, and sometimes sends him to different parts in time capt
Starhawk
You can tell I didnt watch alot of last season, because i dont even know who Crewman Daniels is. Thanks for the catch up!
JoeyN
Part 2 is on tonight. Looking forward to it. Its supposed to end the temp cold war and start the show off towards the building of the federation, as well as bring back classic TOS races, and a few excellent guest stars from past trek shows capt
