Angry the Clown
Oh no! I'd not yet checked the news this morning. I'm rather speechless at the minute... Daniel
iainl
I almost can't believe it somehow. Actually, what I really can't quite believe is how much more this seems to bother me than many of the 'celebrities' who have passed away recently. His recent performances in Smallville have been wonderful.

Failsafe
What a sad bit of news to wake up to. Despite what happened to him years ago, I thought he be around for a long, long time.
Rob B
It actual brought me to tears reading that artical. Trully very sad he was an insperation for a lot folks, incuding myself. With what our daughter is going though it would indeed be nice if they would be able to find cures for things like cancer though stem cell research. secretvampire
Truly sad. I, also, imagined he would be around for a long, long time and that someday we'd even see him walk again. He sure had grit. it would indeed be nice if they would be able to find cures for things like cancer though stem cell research. It would indeed. It's just too bad there are certain people in our wonderful government that don't want that to happen. Don't worry mods, I won't take it any further than that...it just seems amazingly blind. Hopefully the efforts that he helped jump-start within the spinal cord area will continue. Hopefully if the next Superman film gets made, they will dedicate it to him. They should. He was the perfect choice to play Superman.
Romier S
Rodney Dangerfield was enough of a blow for me but to think that Christoper Reeve....SUPERMAN!...is gone. Utterly heartbreaking.
secretvampire
Speaking of recent deaths, I also noticed that former MLB player/junkie Ken Caminiti died of a heart attack today at the age of 41. I was actually watching the Astros do their usual heartbreaking thing yesterday when the thought popped into my head wondering what crackhouse or jail Caminiti resided in these days (he was a longtime Astro). Well, at least maybe his death will highlight to the youngsters how fast a combination of steroids and cocaine and burn your life away. :? Indeed, and the stem cell cause has lost its foremost activist in Reeve.

I know what you're saying, but I prefer to think that his story will continue to influence people with respect to stem cell research. -j
