Intel kills LCOS TV business

Recommended Posts

I was surprised to see this article at Cnet. I know a lot of people were expecting Intel to drive hi-def TV costs down with their chip-making expertise and volume.

The death of the liquid crystal on silicon, or LCOS, project will no doubt buoy rivals such as Texas Instruments, which makes a competing chip, called the Digital Light Processor, for companies such as Samsung.
