The Daisy
I really hope Nintendo keeps up this trend of releasing very good N64 games along with their Gamecube ones. The sad thing is... the majority of us Nintendo fans already have the N64 versions. Oh, well. Glen
blackcalx
If this is true, Nintendo is getting rid of my main reasons for keeping the N64. I've never had a big library, but I was only keeping it for both Zelda games and Mario Kart 64. I have Ocarina of Time, I may have Mario Kart 64, so all I would need to put the nail in the coffin is a Cube version of Majora's Mask. Mark E
so all I would need to put the nail in the coffin is a Cube version of Majora's Mask. Which is of course speculated (no facts or support to this, just wild theory, place no faith in it ) to be added in with the next Cube Zelda game if/when it arrives. Kart 64 seems like a neat idea, but I never played it and they put walls on Rainbow Road which always irritated me to no end. I'd like them to add in the SNES Kart too, just for kicks, it can't be that hard to add .
blackcalx
Rainbow Road was always my least favorite course in Mario Kart 64. If it was shortened and had the walls removed it may have been a good race. Mario Kart: Super Circuit's version of Rainbow Road was a much better implementation. Not only were there no walls, but they added bumps to some of the sides, which could cause you to fly right off of the course if you weren't careful. Or, if you were careful, you could use them to your advantage for a smashing shortcut. While I'm wishing for things, I'd like to have a Cube copy of Pilotwings 64 to go with the newest Pilotwings. Oh, and a utilikilt.
xPieter
What a great rumor. Here's to hoping it's true! Pieter
fishepa
Ahh, Mario Kart 64, I had many a good drunken times in college with that game. Definitely brings back memories.

Mark E
Mark's forum has the BEST rumors! :lmfao: For some reason that cracked me up. Makes sense though, Nintendo has a deeper well to dig into for that sorta fun. I hope the next rumor we post up is about Animal Crossing 2 being online and having SNES games plus SMS games . It's not my forum, I just work here . I'm like the barkeep. Or the piano player who gets shot during the gunfight. Probably while playing the Mario theme on piano... The Daisy
I hope the next rumor we post up is about Animal Crossing 2 being online and having SNES games plus SMS games Ok, the SMS games is probably going too far... but Animal Crossing 2 could be a great game for Nintendo to take online. I remember how hooked I was on that game as soon as I got it. I was planting trees, trading for fruits, fishing, and collecting games as quickly as I could. Man, that game was just a blast. Sadly, so many other games came out... and it just got moved into another spot on my game shelf. Glen
Mark E
I keep up with Animal Crossing because I have the vain hope that we'll one day be told how to unlock original Mario Bros. That's in there isn't it? I want that game so so bad.
The Daisy
I wanted to get Punch Out so badly. I remember when I actually beat that game... I was just going nuts jumping around when I finally beat Tyson. Glen
Mark E
I wanted to get Punch Out so badly. Yeah, but that's DEFINITELY in there, isn't it?
Starhawk
Yeah, but that's DEFINITELY in there, isn't it? As far as I know, it's there along with Super Mario Bros and the original The Legend of Zelda. Yet, actually getting these games in Animal Crossing is something I do not know how to do. blackcalx
Many of the ubergames like Zelda and SMB have to be unlocked using the GBA connectivity. I've not spent the time to do it, but it has something to do with keeping your islander happy using the GBA and a hefty dose of luck. JohnE
I hope the next rumor we post up is about Animal Crossing 2 being online and having SNES games plus SMS games. I want the next rumor to be that Nintendo is working on a Kid Icarus game for the Cube! What I wouldn't give for that.
Starhawk
I want the next rumor to be that Nintendo is working on a Kid Icarus game for the Cube! What I wouldn't give for that. There was a rumor that Capcom's cancelled Dark Phoenix may turn into the next Kid Icarus game. Just a rumor though.
Carlucci
Game Informer just posted this on their website. Game Informer "....for those who pre-order a copy of Mario Kart: Double Dash, will be a demo disc packed full of playable demos of upcoming Nintendo GameCube titles. The offer is effectively immediately at selected retailers. " So it doesn't look good for getting Mario Kart 64. Dangit!
The Daisy
What a bummer. The only good news off of that is that Star Fox, Pikmin, and Luigi's Mansion will all be $19.99 soon. I've been waiting to pick up Star Fox until it dropped in price. Looks like the time is finally right. Glen
Mark E
Ooh, nice, wasn't interested in Star Fox at all but for budget price I might snatch it up, definitely going to try Pikmin. I still prefer the free price I paid for Luigi's Mansion . Shame about the bonus though, would have been very cool since I've not played the N64 one. Maybe they'll have the tracks hidden or something...
