New Forums Issues

Hey, something I noticed, are the tags working properly for 'new posts' and 'no new posts'. The Cube section shows up as not having new posts for me, which it doesn't, but in the actual area a bunch of the icons are lit, indicating new posts. I scroll over the top ones and they say 'no new posts' but ones further down the screen say 'new posts'. I read every topic, so I dunno how that's working...

I went to the Super Mario poll I have up in POLLS, and it wanted me to vote again even though I already had. So, of course I voted again :) and got this error at the top of the page:

Warning: Division by zero in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\forum\sources\Topics.php on line 1660

Awesome, now that the buttons properly show where any new posts are, my love for the new forum has shot through the roof. Seriously, that's all it took.

I want to be the level boss who you have to hit with a grenade and then pause the game for twenty seconds in order to kill ;).

Hey nice job. The site is noticably faster, and it wasn't slow before.

Does anyone else think that the orange topic/thread names are a bit hard to read?

I don't mind it in the breadcrumb area, of other parts of the shell, but the list of topics, topic starter, etc, seems a bit too orange to me. Maybe I just need to get used to it...

Otherwise it looks great!

OK, this is kind of nit-picky, but it seems like the thick borders at the bottom of the main category headings ("General", "Platform Specific") might be redundant. They seem to add a lot of dead space between the categories without serving much of a purpose. If the bottom border were a hairline, I still think the categories would be distinguishable and you'd save some vertical space.

I just noticed that the "Board Statistics" area doesn't have a bottom border, this seems more like what the others should look like.

I'd like to see the hot-linked browsing tree (for example: "LCVG Forums -> Platform Specific -> Xbox") found at the upper left of the screen copied to the lower left of the thread page as well.

Let me try to describe that a little better. On the page you're on right now (while reading this) you can find this tree: "LCVG Forums -> Site Feedback and Administration -> Site Feedback" in the upper left of the screen. I'd like to see that tree copied to the bottom of the page as well.

I reasoning is simply for quicker access to jumping around the site. If I read to the bottom of the thread I don't have to scroll back to the top to find the tree. I realize I could also use the drop-down links at the lower-right of this page but I prefer the tree links.

Does any of that make sense? ;)
