Bruce B
I know there arent very many LCVG'ers who are baseball fans but was wondering who else is excited about this game. I had last years incarnation and it was the best baseball game I've ever owned with this years being online compatible it should be a blast. I was a little disappointed in ESPN's effort last year. Here is more info on the game
foogledricks
MVP baseball huh? What a bunch of BS. You just want a game besides NFL 2K5 that you're good at. I'll be on Halo in fives minutes. We can talk about how good MVP will be as melee you in the back of the head with my sniper rifle.
Bruce B
Quite hostile today Mr. Fredericks arent you. Taking care of the baby getting to ya?
JTello
-Well, Mr. Baby Whipped's hostility aside, I'm interested in MVP. I only heard good things about the game last year, and from what I've read this year's game is much the same with minor improvements here and there. IGN's preview mentions that only small tweaks to the game is a good thing, considering last year's game was so well done. -With this being speculated as the last MYP game, I hope EA doesn't let the production or quality slide, including post release up-dates and patching. -The videos of the game are impressive. The game looks great, and the animations are solids. I really love the immersive sounds of the game, the crowd, the sounds of the ball hit bats and gloves, etc. The presentation looks top notch too, with slick cut scene graphics and smooth inter-face menu's. I also like seeing what the baserunners are doing, as opposed to the floating dots past games. The stadiums look impressive too. Yep, I'm looking forward to MVP! Awesome-O 4000
I had last years game on the PC and even without the special controller you were meant to use (I used the good ol keyboard) I thought it was far and away the best baseball game I've ever played. I'm certainly going to get the new one on some system (PS2, PC and Cube I own) because there is no way in hell I'm updating the rosters after this insane off-season
Romier S
For those of you looking forward to MVP, there is news circulating that retailers have been informed of a price drop for MVP 2005 to 29.99. Online retailers have not updated as of yet but expect it to happen very shortly if true. If so, I may end up buying both baseball titles this year. :tu
JoeyN
Im looking forward to both baseball game. We really need to get some matchups going on here. Last year was pathetic capt
Bruce B
I'm campaigning for everyone to lean towards MVP Baseball. I owned both titles last year and unless ESPN has come up with something revolutionary, MVP is the way to go. The difference being the immersive quality of MVP. I think the only thing I would have changed in MVP is when you hit a homerun showing the ball rattle around in the stands a little bit. Minor complaint for a spectacular game. I love a good bragain on import, and frustratingly no publisher dares bother to release a baseball videogame in England so I never have any choice but to get such games from the States when they come out. This would be my first dip into EAs offering mind you, having been enjoying SEGAs efforts in the last couple of years. Daniel
exile
If they drop it to $29.99 I'd pick it up. I'm not paying $50 for it. I really do want to buy a good baseball game.

Angry the Clown
Is it not due a lower price in Canada? I tend to import my games from a Canadian retailer and they still have $64.99 for the Xbox and PS2 versions. $59.99 for the Cube. They do note the price is subject to change but one would have thought Canadian retailers would know by now if they're to mark it up cheaper. JTello
Early owners of the game are reporting that it does indeed support 720p for those interested. I'm happy to hear this! And considering MLB2k5 last year supported 720p, I would have been disappointed if EA had omitted it. So, where are our reviews of MVP? EnemaEms
I'm picking MVP up today. I wont be able to play online until 11 PM central time tonight though. Josh, If you are online with MVP tonight we can trade chin music between A-Rod and Varitek! I plan on kicking Bruce in the rosin sac tonight as well.
