AlbertA
What web host do you guys use for this board? The free web host I was using keeps shutting down.. I'm tired of it.. Can you guys recommend anyone?
Ryan FB
I believe LCVG is hosted on a colocated server in some datacenter, which isn't an easy option to work out for most people. Anyway, here's the short list of reputable hosting companies I use, or know other people who use them and have had a good experience: DreamHost 100 Megs Web Hosting HasWeb I'm always on the lookout for other good hosts, though. Buck
LCVG is hosted on my server at my prior employer, Centrivity. It's an extremely solid network, but more than likely more money than you'd want to spend for hosting.
JoeyN
1and1.com is a good host as well

HoolieMan
I use WebHost4Life for me and many of my clients. It is great for windows server hosting. Also very affordable.
Ryan FB
Just a bump for a crazy deal I came across...if you sign up for 1 year of DreamHost's "Crazy Domain Insane" package and enter in the promotion code "777" before checkout, you get a full year of hosting and one domain registration for $9.24. Not sure how long they'll keep running this deal (they started it around the New Year), but it was too good to pass up, so I finally pulled the trigger on a domain for myself. Anthony G
Thanks for that! It's a great deal! I signed up for it... Ditto. The deal is still going, I just signed up last night.
Darius
This deal, amazing as it is. Is still going. I just signed up today.
splunk
I didn't read through the site, but I'm assuming that DreamHost retains ownership of the domain name they register for you?
Ryan FB
Nope. As with most registrars, you own the domain and can transfer it to another registrar if you like.
splunk
Well damn, that's an awesome deal then. Might as well register your domains through them as long as this package is going on.
