UK bargains found on my wanders this weekend

For the few fellow UK people here, I thought I'd mention the following (not that I took advantage of any of the offers):

Tesco (Watford branch; should hold for most huge ones, though the selection was rubbish at Amersham) -

Big, big PS2 "2 for ?30" selection. Most of the popular Platinum titles (GTAs, PESs etc) were there, unsurprisingly. What was of note was brand-new game Crash 'n' Burn, which looks rather fun in a Flatout kind of way. Includes Online, as well.

Even better, though, is R-Type Final, in a "2 for ?16" stack. Unfortunately, there really isn't much else to choose as your second game. What appeared to be Battle Gear 3 looked interesting, though.

Asda (Watford, again) -

No "X for ?Y" section, but loads of cheap stuff. Gamecube Warioware for ?10, PS2 PES2 for ?5, PC Max Payne 2 for ?7.50 and so on.

Oh I do hate it when that happens. I've been longing to get R-Type Final for a long time. I may have to pop down there and see what there is for myself.

Play.com still have their sale on, but to be honest their offerings of titles and prices seemed a little so so for me this year. Harry Potter and Philosopher's stone on Xbox is 9.99 though which I may grab as I do rather like the series of games. PC Max Payne 2 for under ?8 at Asda though? That's very tempting.

Nice to have a UK bargains thread for the er... four of us.

Not a hell of a lot else to choose from, or I'd own it already. If you want, I'll grab two copies and sell you one for ?8.
