JTello
Back before the latest change over, the ?New Post? link would display the latest new posts, even if you hadn?t cleared the cache or restarted the computer, whenever you came back to the site it would list not only the newest posts since your last visit but also keep a running list of all ?new posts? each time you visited that day. So if I visited the site 3 times in a day, and each time there was 2 new posts, by the third visit it would list all six posts in descending order. Well, I have found that since the change over it only displays the absolute latest new posts, even if I didn?t clear the cache. (as far as I can tell) This makes me sad. I don?t like being sad. Will I always have to be sad?
JTello
-Ok, I'm trying to test it, but my results seem inconsistant. I just closed my browser, restarted and then checked the new posts. This time it kept the history of the new posts from the last time I visited. But this is odd, as earlier when all I did was close the browser, it seemed to clear that sort of history. -I know this isn't much info to work with, but it has been annoying me. I'm used to having the days worth of new posts history, but sometimes I've been losing it. I'm not sure why it happens sometimes and not others. Ryan FB
Hrmmm...I think the 'New Posts' behaves in a way such that it shows me the threads which have had new posts since the last time I clicked 'New Posts' (sort of, as this is a gross abstraction. I can click it multiple times during a visit and still see threads which have had no new posts since the last time I clicked 'New Posts'). This seems to be consistent behavior for me using the site across multiple computers. I usually just visit, click 'New Posts', and go through the threads that interest me, using the back button to get back to the 'New Posts' results. I think what you're looking for is more of a 'Today's Active Threads' style search, which is discussed on ye olde inevitable feedback thread. Carlucci
-I know this isn't much info to work with, but it has been annoying me. I'm used to having the days worth of new posts history, but sometimes I've been losing it. I'm not sure why it happens sometimes and not others. This is the way it works for me too. Sometimes it keeps the threads in the "new posts" offering for the whole day, and sometimes it behaves as Ryan describes, literally just the new posts since you last clicked it. But this was always the case for me, even with LCVG season 1. Carlos.

JTello
-Ok, so I can't seem to locate the recent discussion on 'Today's Active Threads',' so this seems like the best place to ask,.... where do we stand with that former option? -Will 'Today's Active Threads' make a comeback with this new LCVG? Or is 'New Posts' supposed to have the same function?
kelley
I have discovered a way to do this I think.
