Gary P
Hey guys, Know of any software to convert form a VCD to mpeg format? I found all sorts of stuff to convert to VDC, but not the reverse. Thanks, Gary
Robot Monkey
Google turned this up: http://www.brothersoft.com/Multimedia_Graphics_Video_Conversion_MPEG4_Direct_Maker_21857.html I have no experience with this program, though. -j
heavy liquid
Hey Gary, Are you just trying to watch it on your computer? I happen to have a VCD of an episode of Lost that I made. If I open up the MPEGAV file, there's a file in there (mine is listed as AVSEQ01) that I can right click and select 'open with' --> Windows Media Player, and it will play fine. Hopefully this helps...
Gary P
Heh, That was easy enough, Windows Media Player handled it just fine, guess I was just looking to make it harder than it was. However, I wanted to make this as easy as possible because I'll have these discs going out to people who aren't the most computer savvy, so I decided to take it a step further. I renamed the .dat extension to .mpeg and now I'm not even prompted with the 'open with' menu. Thanks for the tips! Gary
