matt
This is a two part question. First off I?ve had my iPod for almost a year now and I love it. I use it every work day and take it with me whenever I travel. My one problem with the system stems from burning my CDs into iTunes. Most of them burned just fine, but there are plenty that had trouble that resulted in skipping or incomplete music. These CDs play fine on a regular CD player. What I don?t know is were the problem lies. My guess would be the optical drive in my computer (Dell Dimension 2400 w/ CD burner, 1 year old), but I don?t know. Could something else be causing this glitch and if so are there any fixes? Part two: I want to get a new optical drive for my computer regardless of whether or not it will cure the above problem. I would like a DVD burner so I can make backups of files and throw pictures and movies onto disks for friends and family. So my question, what model of burner should I get? I would like a high quality internal drive. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks guys.

I just bought the NEC ND-3520 Dual Layer DVD Burner. 66$ from http://www.newegg.com Burns REAL fast, and it's a great drive for the money. Ryan FB
I have one of the ND-3250's predecessors, and I recommend the NEC's without hesitation. Fantastic drives, and the prices are unbelievable.
exile
I bought the same burner as Ruffneck except I spent a few dollars more for the one with the software which was EZ media creator. For like 2-3 bucks, it was worth it.

matt
Well, with the above advice in mind, I went ahead and ordered the NEC drive from NewEgg. The only down side was that I had to pay tax because they?re in California. The plus side however is that I ordered the drive Friday via FedEx express saver shipping and it?s on the truck to be delivered today. I guess it helps that it shipped from a city about 30 miles from me. :tu Hopefully this new drive will solve the CD burning issue I have. If not, hopefully someone around here will have some helpful advice.
