Dinged 21 last night after turning in those Wailing Cavern quests. I ventured west into the Stonetalon Mountains, as I think those are more in line with my character developmen than the ones in Silverpine. Are you guys done with those, anyway? Do you need me for Fenris?

Oh, and Kelley, did you get all the armor you needed? You showed up like a pauper in a miniskirt yesterday. Those warriors need all the love they can get in terms of armor.

Well, The last remaining quests I have in Silverpine are all Elite quests. These are mostly the Assault on Fenris Isle line of quests. This is not including the Shadowfang Keep quests I have there as well.

I hoping to clear them out between tonight and the end of this weekend. Hopefully we can do both Shadowfang and the Fenris Isle quests, if any of us still have them.

Okay - if I'm around I'll jump in on those with you. I'd rather group with you guys than the random tools in Stonetalon. I'll take a look on thottbot to see if there are some build-up quests I need in order to get them in my log.

Speaking of Stonetalon, there was some annoying Alliance rogue killing off NPCs in there just to keep me from turning in my quests. S/he was 4 levels above me and I ended up killim him/her after I grew tired of his/her little game.

I just kited the poor thing around the camp for about 30 minutes, rooting, spamming starfire, healing, spamming, etc.

I'm hoping to make a Shadowfang run tonight, if we can get both Hugh and Joel on board. We will need as many high level people as possible for that one. The one time we successfully ran it on Eredar we had a minimum level requirement of 25, and that seemed to work out well. I think as a whole we are a higher level now than we were then (I'm 35, and Joel and Hugh are both 30) so we can probably able to swing it with a level 23, but I hope we can pick up an additional tank or healer when the time comes. 10pm EST still work with everyone?

Just finished a hilarious quest...Revenge of Helcular. Well, the first two parts weren't hilarious, but the ending was. Let's see, first I had to kill about 150+ yeti to get the rod to drop, and when it finally did I swore I would never fight another yeti as long as I lived. Uh, no. Second part of the quest I had to charge the rod from three different flames, all guarded by...yes...more yeti. But the last part more than made up for the yetimonotony...I had to run to Southshore (an alliance town) and plant the charged rod at Helcular's grave. Well the level 50 Southshore guards were none too pleased with me for invading their turf and they took me out, but not before I managed to complete the quest and raise the spirit of Helcular. He turned out to be a level 44 elite undead mage, who summoned about 10 helpers and proceeded to wipe out every guard in the immediate area. It was so sweet...an army of undead attacking the guards of Southshore. When all the guards fell they took off for the heart of Southshore but alas, I lost sight of them as I hit the "release spirit" button hoping to come back to life close enough to help them on their murderous rampage. It was not to be, however, as I rezzed in Tarren Mill.

For the Horde! :tu

I'd play the part of healer (and yes, I did finally get those rez reagants :bh ), but I'm only 21 right now.

I ran Feris island last night (which was waste for me) just to get it off my list and put it in my "complete" folder. The last fight might be next to impossible to solo at level 24. Not to mention the reward was not worth the time and the less then 2k exp. I am up for SFK tonight though, I am more then 3/4 to 31 and SFK will put me over the edge. I can lend a "tank" with a lvl30 VW. This might be a substitute ( a poor mans warrior)but I remember Big Blue coming to help you poison with that (lvl32+)Raptor Tea party you were throwing near the risky ore on Tuesday. When is the SFK kicking off?

A tip for tailors if you are looking to farm silk go to Azurelode mine in Treadmills. The respawns are quick but you might have trouble if you are not 28 or so since mobs tend to bring friends.

Almost forgot, nice quest for those pesky southshore people.. I am looking forward to that one.

Sweet, sounds like we are cleared for takeoff on SFK tonight at 10pm. Looking forward to finally clearing out the rest of the grey quests in my log!

That was Joel's tea party, man. I was just there to clean up the bodies. :)

Dinged to 15 last night. Man the new armor fucking saved my ass like no other last night, so did someone kindly casting some spell in my area that gave me +300 hit points :rock I could use that a lot more often! I upgraded my weapon twice last night, w00t!

Finally a big huge thanks goes out to Joel, Dave, and Josh for hooking this bum up last night at the auction house. I know it wasn't a lot for you guys, but to me it was a damn fortune. Oh and I'll be online again tonight, trying to power level myself to catch up with you guys....Josh you better watch out I'm coming for you!

I don't doubt it. You guys will run circles around me - I just don't have as much time to play. It's not fair. Last I checked, Joel and everyone were right with me around 18. Now they're 10 levels ahead. :thud

I just made level 10 as a hunter and am trying to complete the three training quests. The fist one is to keep a boar focused for 10 mins. How do I use the training rod to start the quest? Sorry if it's a stupid question, but I've tried everything I can think of.

You should just need to target a boar, and right click the rod to activate it. Then let the boar pound on you until the progress bar fills up...

Thx for the reply. After hours of frustration I finally realized that I couldn't do it if it was in my quick list below. Once I launched it from my inventory I was fine. I tried to avoid this game for as long as I could based on my past addictions to Blizzard games, but the body is weak and I'm thoroughly enjoying this game.

I'd be willing to run through Shadowfang again. I got decent xp (I was rested), and it went pretty quick. I did get 3 nice drops that will be going to the AH later tonight.

I still have Assault on Fenris Isle if anyone wants to help me clear that out tonight. I also have a quest "the Essence of Aku'Mai" in Blackfathom (I have NO idea where that is) if anyone wants to do that run tonight as well.

I wouldn't mind taking another run through there to grab the Feline Mantle you picked up yesterday, and I know Hugh wants another shot at the Robes of Arugal. Why don't we wait a little while for Josh and Kelley and anyone else to gain a few levels, and then we can make another run at it?

In the meantime, I'm about ready to run some higher level instances...Blackfathom? Razorfen? Maybe we can put something together early next week.

[edit] Chris, Blackfathom is up in the northwestern part of Ashenvale, along the shore. Make sure you hit the Zoram'Gar Outpost first, because there are two or three other quests you can pick up for the instance there.

I'm checking the Quests by Location at Allakhazam.com, and I see only 2 quests in Blackfathom for Horde members. The above one I mentioned, and the quest given after that one is completed.

Let's see, there is "Amongst the Ruins", given by Je'neu Sancrea in Zoram'Gar, and when you finish that one she gives you "Allegiance to the Old Gods", and there are also a few quests that you actually pick up in the instance itself, like "Blackfathom Villiany" and "Baron Aquanis".

I feel really bad about that, too. Especially since I made such a fuss about being careful with the Meteor Shard if it dropped.

I know you do, Joel, and I know it was an accident. I was just frustrated last night for a couple of reasons. Losing five out of six rolls to you the night before, then rolling absolutely pathetically again last night, combined with the ultimate indignity of rolling a "1" on those shoulders which were the only things in the entire dungeon I really wanted all kind of bubbled up. I didn't mean to give you a hard time, and I apologize for that. We'll run it again and hopefully we will make good this time. :tu

I would be down again for SFK it actually took about 35 minutes or so to run through it. I need some new threads and arguals robes would be nice. He actually drops 3 blues the dagger, robes or a belt. I would be interested in doing the blackfathom. I solo'd it for a bit at level 29 but the respawns were pretty fast at that level so I bailed for greener pastures .

OK, after weeks on and off looking for this game locally (it doesn't exist here), I finally just ordered the damn thing online (a chat with kelly pushed me over the edge). I will hopefully have it next week.

I also ordered a Radeon X800 using part of my tax refund, so I will be ready to see WoW in all it's glory when it arrives.

I hope I can catch up to you guys, I haven't spent much time with any RPG since Ultima IV on the C64!
