JohnE
What do people consider the best sports gmaes on the Xbox? Best football, soccer, hockey, baseball, ect. Looking to pick up a couple of used sports games and trying I'm to find out what's good. I'm not the type that's looking for pure sim as much as I am fun gameplay. I already have NFL 3K3 and am considering ESPN 2004 so I'm good on football titles. Thanks.

Mutombo
EA's FIFA 2003 is hands down my favorite sports title on the xbox. It can be found pretty cheap now since I think the 2004 version is going to be released in the next few months. Of course, you might just want to wait for the newest version. Andy Sheets
Inside Drive 2003 is my favorite NBA game on the Xbox. 2K3 has better franchise mode and presentation, and might be a little better looking, but ID2003 has the best on-the-court gameplay. More realistic than the other games but yet it still feels quick and arcade-like. I don't tire of playing it.
JohnE
How's NHL Hitz 2002? I'm looking for a hockey game and a soccer game specifically. And maybe a baseball game if I can find one cheap. Thanks for the recommendations though guys.
foogledricks
NFL 2K3 is my favorite sports game ever. Apparently Sega has the best games in all other sports genres except Soccer. Their even #1 in Tennis.
NickC
Football - Madden Hockey- ESPN Hockey/ NHL 2k3 Baseball - World Series Soccer - Fifa 2003/2004, what ever happened to ISS? Basketball - NBA Live 2003, though Sega's is as good if not better. While many people like Sega and their football game, I depise it, when you can leap ten yards with a 300 pb lineman, that just blows the game right there for me. It ain't half as bad as I make it out to be though .
Graeme
How's NHL Hitz 2002? The Hitz games are fun, but their pure arcade through and through. This year's crop are aiming to be a little more realistic, but we'll have to see how they do. For Hockey though, Sega's games are tops with ease. The gameplay is head and shoulders above the crap that EA offered last year (this year MAY be better) and they're supposed to have EA beat in the graphics and presentation this year too. Plus... online play! Soccer offerings are a little thin on XBox until Konami decides we deserve Pro Evolution/Winning Eleven. I haven't played Fifa 03 since the last 4 years were not much to my liking, but I've heard it made a big step last year (they always do when faced with a little competition). I've played the crap out of madden over the last 3 weeks, 55 games and 3 days 4 hrs according to the depressing EA sports bio . Can't wait until tomorrow though so I can pick up ESPN 2k4. EnemaEms
The only sports games I play anymore are football. For NFL I go with SEGA's offerings. For college, I'd go with NCAA 2004 from EA. THat damn game is so good, it is ridiculous. -Dean-
