Romier S
This is shamelessly stolen from a thread over at the HTF but I had to repost it here because of the sheer comedic value of it all. You can download this fan made movie here: The Matrix Prequel It's about 43mb and 20 minutes long. Mind you, it's 20 minutes of absolute pure laughter. Just check out the "climactic" final battle for the absolute worst fight sequence ever comitted to film. :lmfao

JoeyN
My favorite is that the agent looked both ways when crossing the street capt

Jordan_E
I didn't know Napolean Dynamite's German cousin was Neo's father! :rock And obviously, both have perfected Bruce Lee's one-inch punch! DAMN! That was too much!
Mark E
My god. What the hell? Is this supposed to be serious? Please tell me it's not. One of the most appalling pieces of "cinema" I've ever seen. The hand-to-hand, uh, combat was unbelievably bad. :wtf
Sam P
It was funny for about 8 minutes. I couldn't sit through to the end.
Romier S
I couldn't sit through to the end. You must. Don't sit through. I could barley watch 30 seconds worth of dialogue. What I recommend everyone do is right after the chick fights the "agent" just skip ahead to the final battle with Max Anderson and the last "agent". It's required viewing. I especially like the part where he's punching the agent in the stomach, hits him in the face once, and then goes back to hitting him in the stomach for another 30 seconds. Starhawk
Wow, that was hilarious. Technically, althrough there were a few false reverses and bad camera angles, the special effects they used were pretty good for what you can do on consumer equipment and video cameras. The gunplay, morhping, and doubles on screen were pretty cool, but the hand to hand just had no impact and looked weird.
Angry the Clown
I agree with Cameron that a small handful of their effects are fairly inventive (at least the thought behind some of them, more so than their actual execution), but goodness the whole thing is quite shockingly boring and there are far better ways to pull of an overcrank trick with shooting tape over simply choreographing your fights by moving around slowly. In fariness however, it reminded me of some of the silly things I'd put to tape in college about six or seven years ago with friends, in as much as they're just messing for the fun of it and obviously enjoying themselves in the process. Their bloopers at the end were for this reason, more entertaining than the actual content of the short itself. It's not really something you stick online and actively seek to show to the world, is it? Though who am I to say I suppose if they're happy with it (and they seem to be). Damned if I've got the guts to upload an action packed short about a bomb scare in my college. To our dismay, as a bunch of Fellini fans, this was honestly the brief of an assignment set to us by our tutor and the memory of making it is far more entertaining than the result itself which is kind of what I took from this Matrix attempt in how its makers probably feel about the finished prduct (though I doubt their antics with toy guns in public places caught the attention of a local swat team as ours did, though this is another story -and a wonderful memory - ). I did like the cyclist riding by in the background during one of the fights. Story wise it's just as inept and muddled as the two Matrix sequels so surely it's right at home ? Starhawk
From the "DID YOU KNOW?" portion of their website ... the names of the caracters 'MAX Anderson' and 'Carol PAYNE' were named after scriptwriter Sam De Maertelaere's favorite game: Max Payne. ... the role of Carol Payne, played by Ann-Sophie De Maertelaere, was originally meant for Phedra Hoste (a famous Belgian model and ex-Miss Belgium)? ... director/actor Sam De Maertelaere mailed to Carmen Electra to give her the role of Carol Payne? He never got an answer... ... the script of the movie was written in 2 days? ... none of the actors/actresses had experience with acting? This movie was their film debut. ... none of the actors had experience with fight choreography? Actually, some of those were quite obvious.
