Jeff W
Not sure how many Donnie Darko fans we have here but this will be a must buy for me. Click here :rock
Romier S
I love Donnie Darko. Just recently picked up the director's cut which I haven't been able to sit down and watch yet. I looked around and couldn't find a price on that bad boy (I may just be blind). I'd definitely give that a purchase at the right price! (put it next to my LOTR statues)
Jeff W
Picked up the Directors Cut Tuesday myself, no price on the figure yet because it hasn't been released, probably some time during the summer but I imagine amok or explosion toys will start taking pre-orders anytime now. secretvampire
Wow...pretty cool, but my wife would have nightmares for a week if I actually bought that thing. We both love the film, though. I saw the director's cut in the theater a little while back. It was definitely interesting, but I think the original theatrical cut was superior. I will be picking up the new DVD, though!
Jeff W
I've only watched it once thus far, plan to watch it again tonight with commentary, but unless you figure the pages from the book somehow detract from the flow of the movie I don't see much of a difference. Main reason I bought it was to watch it with the commentary though.

Main reason I bought it was to watch it with the commentary though. I don't know. I do like some of the extra scenes, especially the ones between Donnie and his family. And I suppose the book being a bit more integrated helped some people understand everything a little better. It just felt a little too long, and that he spelled things out a little TOO much...took away some of the feeling of mystery and the vagueness that kind of let you fill in the gaps how you saw fit. It is still a very interesting artifact, and I'm glad it was released!
HellToupee
very cool , I wonder what the price will be.
Jeff W
Neca's blister pack stuff will usually be anywhere from $9-$14 unless they do a 18 inch figure with a sound chip, those will usually run $35. McFarlane really used to be the big dog when it came to the movie related type figures but Neca has come in and outdone em. The did a very cool Halloween boxed set with Micheal Meyers and Dr. Loomis on the front steps of the Meyers house and a nice Crow set with 2 Eric Draven figures in the exact same pose on opposite sides of a mirror, one done up as the Crow and one not. Jon W H
Count me in as a fan. Will this be sold in stores, or just from that website?
Jeff W
They'll be in stores, best bet would be a comic shop, EB or Gamestop that still sells figures or even a Spencer's or Pacific SunCoast. I've seen Toys R Us's selling the older figures but they're usually different somehow, like the McFarlane Jason Vorhees figure for Toys R Us had no blood splatter. Jeff W
Just found out that Neca has acquired the license for the rights to Buba Ho-Tep and plan on making a Bruce Campbell as Elvis figure for the 3rd set. :drool I imagine they'll do a mummy figure but what I'd really like to see is an Ossie Davis as JFK :rock Unrelated but I thought this was cool looking too. link
JohnEBGood
I got the Directors Cut last week but haven't been able to watch it yet. I'm really looking forwrd to it, but I heard a lot of people aren't pleased because it explains too much.
Jeff W
I watched it last night w/ commentary, explained some of Kelly's thinking as he was making the movie but all in all it was mostly a ego stroke fest for Kelly and Kevin Smith to compliment each other. Love how they worked Sega's Outrun into the plot though, don't know I missed that the first time around.
