iainl
Ubi clearly have a curious idea of how this whole "don't directly compete with EA" thing that some alledge they're up to after the share deal works...
Camp
I say they use the Microsoft code to get copies of the old Mutant League sports titles to market before EA does it. Something along those lines as opposed to traditional sports games.
EnemaEms
I love this quote from Vijay, "Ubisoft is doing an incredible job in bringing my style of golf to the world of gaming," said Singh." Women hating golf will be the rave of video game golf. -Dean-
Romier S
Looks as though Ubisoft are moving further into the sports arena with the announced acquisition of the rights to publish a B-Ball game around "And1" products. You can take a look at the article here . Turns out the demure Singh may have some company in the form of the flashy and flamboyant White Chocolate, Hot Sauce, and Main Event. In a move that may leave NBA Street publisher EA crying foul, Ubisoft is going from the greens to the blacktops with its announcement today of an exclusive licensing deal with clothing company and street hoops sponsor And 1 to make games based on their properties. No release dates or platforms have been announced. By striking the deal, Ubisoft has the rights to publish games based on the And 1 Mix Tape Tour, the country's biggest street basketball organization. The tour challenges the best blacktop players from cities all across the country to hoop it up with And 1's roster of sponsored athletes in in-your-face brash competition. And 1 promotes style over substance, a sort of real-life NBA Street.
CaptainRon
Wow, that is a great partnership. If they make a half decent game i could see them stealing some marketshare from NBA street. That is if EA doesn't get an exclusive contract with everyone involved in basketball before the game actually comes out.
