Logitech Driving Force Pro - PC as well?

This is really just out of curiosity, as I can't afford to replace my non-pro Driving Force right now, to be honest, but...

Can you use it as a force-feedback wheel with the PC as well? I've already got the registry-hack to enable force-feedback with the non-Pro version (when you plug it in, Windows just thinks it is a 'normal' wheel with no FF), but I've a feeling I heard that the 900-degree version has proper support in both LFS and GT-R.

So whats the final word on the 900 wheel working on PC racing games? Has anyone tried it with GT-R? I need a new wheel and was thinking of getting one of those Logitech MOMO racing wheels because word has it that GT-R was created with that wheel in mind. It retails for $99 USD and has excellent reviews all over the net. What I wanna know is if the Driving Force Pro 900 degree rotation wheel works with the game very well and how that wheel compares to the MOMO racing wheel. Any feedback regarding wheels that will work with the PC will be greatly appriciated. Thanks!

I would go for the DFP even if the game didn't support 900 degree mode that well. The DFP still has a fully functional 200 degree mode that should be exactly the same as the momo. The build quality is very good and you can use it on GT4. Get it from Amazon or Buy.com or something and it should only be $115 USD or so.

Thanks for the feedback Darius but I think I'm going with the MOMO wheel. I've heard from a few people (SamP being one of them) that the MOMO feels and sounds a little smoother than the 900 wheel. I've been told build quality is about the same between the 2 wheels. Add the fact that the MOMO wheel is the wheel that GTR: FIA Racing was pretty much built for and the decision became a little more clear. Also I dont really have any interest in GT4. No multiplayer, no realistic damage, and bumper car like racing = no sale for me.

Have you tried this GTR game Darius? You sound like you'd appriciate a good racing SIM. You should check out the latest demo if you haven't done so already. It is an amazingly detailed sim that just looks, drives and sounds like the real deal. I ordered my full retail UK copy yesterday. Hopefully it will get here by Friday. W00t! 2005 is shaping up to be a great year for racing games. :tu

Well I picked up a Logitech MOMO Racing Force wheel today. Very nice wheel. I can see why it has gotten so much praise over the last couple of years. Feels very sturdy, has a very nice rubbery grip, mounts very easily onto my desk, etc. I cant believe this was only $99. Its worth twice that if you ask me. The wheel works awesome with GTR! Really makes you feel like you are driving those cars. Anyway after a couple hours with the wheel I am totally impressed. :tu Logitech sure makes some very nice products. I have a Logitech optical mouse, wireless keyboard, USB gamepad and now a wheel. :)

Well back to GTR. If you are into racing games you simply have to try this game. Makes other racing "sims" seem so childish in comparison.
