Graeme
A friendly reminder to fans of the show, the new season kicks off on Wednesday with "Mr. Garrison's Fancy New Vagina". This week on South Park, Mr. Garrison is getting a sex change. The boys have to help Mr. Garrison get his testicles out of Kyle's knees! Sounds interesting. Hopefully the show can get back some of the magic from season 5 and 6 that was lacking in the hit and miss season 8.
Angry the Clown
Son of a....... There I thought Parker and Stone were taking a break and delaying the start of Season 9 into the summer. Hopefully the show can get back some of the magic from season 5 and 6 that was lacking in the hit and miss season 8. Eight I felt was only somewhat hit and miss in its second half, but I think a problem with 8 in general was that they were doing Team America at the same time. Whilst stories of Parker and Stone falling out were all nonsense, like I say I am surprised 9 is starting so soon since a break form them seemed much deserved. It's off" "It's awwwwwnnnnn" Huzzah to the shopkeep for this news. You'd best be around Thursday to send me a rip of the episode... Hey how about that? We Brits truly are the biggest whores of television online. Daniel
JFo
Eight I felt was only somewhat hit and miss in its second half, but I think a problem with 8 in general was that they were doing Team America at the same time. Agreed. I think the fact that Parker and Stone were pretty much beaten down from finishing off Team America killed whatever energy they may have saved the show. Hopefully, they'll be refreshed from their break and ready to go for the new season. The good part is that at least we got a decent movie out of it. Angry the Clown
The 'Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset' episode was, for me, the most consistently funny of that second half of the last season, helped in part for my utter loathing of the waste of existence that is Paris Hilton. There are some wonderful momenets with Cartman, but most notably Butters, in that episode. Mr Slave also steals the show at the end (and I adore the flashbacks to his childhood)..... JFo
The 'Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset' episode was, for me, the most consistently funny of that second half of the last season... Now, Daniel, let us not forget "A Woodland Critter Christmas". For me, that episode was hands down the best of the latter half. Even though the show was a little inconsistent in the second half, they did go out with a bang. Hail Satan!
Graeme
Woodland Critter Christmas almost made up for the other lackluster episodes that season.... and not that the season was at all bad, on repeated viewings I've liked some of the episodes more, it's just that many of them had a good concept and then ran out of steam all too quickly. The Paris Hilton episode had a great, shocking ending, but I didn't find much leading up to it all that great. Here's some more on this week's episode The boys? teacher gets in touch with his feminine side in the ninth season premiere of ?South Park," entitled "Mr. Garrison's Fancy New Vagina," premiering Wednesday, March 9 at 10:00 p.m. on Comedy Central. Mr. Garrison goes to great lengths to get what he?s always wanted?a sex change. As he enjoys his new womanly attributes, the rest of the town gets in touch with their inner feelings too. Meanwhile, Kyle wrestles with the fact that Jews just aren?t good at basketball. Sounds like we'll probably get some more of Cartman making fun of Jews, which is always good for a laugh. Awesome-O 4000
"Kyle, jews can't jump" and so on I imagine. Well thats all I had to say, now back to more "Animals close up with a wide angle lens". That Craig is a genius! Oh and how did I not mention the Awesom-O episode? Friggin named myself after the thing "Behold. The miracle of fliiight.................................................Eh" This will descend into a thread of quotes. I can see it already. Angry the Clown
They duk urr jurrrrrbsss. Paramount Comedy Channel has now got the UK TV rights to South Park, poaching them from Sky One who treated the show poorly anyway once it didn't become trendy to watch it anymore (though terrestrial station Channel 4 is even more guilty in this respect). It'd be nice if this means the seasons air here a little sooner than they usually do (eight has yet to be shown, and networks wonder why we download so much!).... I'm left to download either way as I can't justify the cost of satellite TV. Paramount seem to been keeping a good track on the DVD releases though which is certainly pleasing. Angry the Clown
Oh are you? Depends if you get it.... or the Lando website. Found it as an AVI at a few places, but would rather go Real just for size. There's a torrent up at Mr Twig actually, going to see if I can grab that. JFo
Dan; It was pretty damn funny. The first two mintues will have you squirming in your chair. The same goes for the last two mintues. I think you'll like it.

Angry the Clown
Very forgettable episode for me really. Nothing remotely quotable, voice work was pretty average. With luck things will pick up soon enough though. It was certainly a very strange episode I'll give you that. Daniel
Awesome-O 4000
Very much forgettable as has been said. Aside from "Jewfin" which was only a 5 on the hilarity scale. Oh and the first appearance of Kyle's dad as a dolphin had me laughing pretty hard. Massively insane though one must admit
Angry the Clown
The latest episode sounds fairly promising: "Die Hippie, Die," premiering Wednesday, March 16 at 10:00 p.m. Cartman warns the citizens of South Park that it will only be a matter of days before the town becomes the Hippie Capital of the World. No one will believe him until they find out the hippies plan to stage a weeklong music fest. The town has no choice but to turn to Cartman for help. He then puts his plan to eradicate his lifelong enemies in motion. Daniel

Graeme
Blech.... I barely chuckled during that one. It made it's point right at the beginning and only had a bad Armageddon spoof to fall back one. Too bad.
