tiac
So this started a while ago, but its really bugging me. My clock keeps dropping 2 hours at a time and I don't know why! This had happened after I tried to run Service Pack 2 (I'm running XP) and it jacked up my system. Just wondering if anyone else had a similar problem and what they did to fix it. It is a round disk type battery on the motherboard. It might cost about $3-8. Good luck. Hope this helps.

This happened to my mother's computer. It often times will cause other problems as well. So if you computer is acting up in general, especially during bootup, it is probably that. You'll have to replace the battery. Pouring water into the harddrive will not help, believe me.

I had rthat set on my laptop and ended up staying at J.Fo's one night till like 5:45 am because my clock on the lapt top siad it was only like 1:30 am. maybe it's that simple
