Camp
Convinced that the case included in the PSP bundle isn't going to cut it I'm on the search for the perfect case. There seems to be two schools of thought when it comes to PSP cases: 1. Protect just the PSP 2. Protect the PSP & carry some UMD's or accessories with you I found a decent comparison of several cases here: http://www.psp411.com/show/news/62/0/PSP_Case_Protection_and_Storage_Roundup.html Ultimately, they recommend the Logitech Case. While the Logitech looks nice I want to carry a couple UMDs and my headphones. I also don't think I want to play the PSP with the case attached. I ended up going with the Aero Case at Brando. This case is also available at Lik Sang but it's a bit more with shipping. The Aero case will hold the PSP, 2 UMD's, headphones, and perhaps a bit more. All in a rather small package. The Aero only cost $15 (shipped) so I won't be terribly hurt if it doesn't fulfill my expectations. I'm interested in seeing the case market explode once PSP's become more ubiquitous. What case did you get? Please share links here...I'm curious to see what else is out there.
JoeyN
For now i just bought a system grip for home use for $10 as i dont like any of the cases out at the moment, and on top of that all of the case's make you buy other accessories. Im waiting for the Logitech Playgear case which ill use on the go. Also good for watching media as it also acts as a stand capt
kelley
This is the case I bought: It seems similar to the Aerocase and if it really is then I can tell you camp you will not have room in it for the headphones.
Jeff W
I didn't plan on getting a PSP but after playing around with my brothers I've caved, I'm planning on getting one next week and will probably use a case like this one I got for my MP3 player. It's a Pelican case, waterproof, dustproof, chemical proof, crush proof, has an automatic pressure purge and is guaranteed for life :tu

Whooter
I've got the same case as Kelley. Came with the Pelican accessory pack. That Aerocase probably does have room for earbuds, as it only has two pockets for games, rather than four. That Nyko thing is suh-weet! Romier S
In an effort to reduce the growing amount of PSP threads happening in this area I'd like to consolidate a few down to one essential thread. If the thread grows to large, we can restart it and keep it readable (I dislike bloated threads as much as the next guy). I've already merged some existing topics into this one so please feel free to continue discussion here. Thanks. I will be leaving the memory stick discussions separate for convenience though. rustyjaw
I think for my needs, I'd rather have some kind of half case, that just covered the entire top of the PSP, but left the bottom exposed. It would either snap on and off (it would be cool if it could snap onto the back when not in use), or be hinged so that it flips up for play. Because I will be carrying this wherever I go, in my Scott-E-Vest, size is a big concern, and this kind of design would keep the machine safe as well as very slim. Anyone know if a case like this is being made, or in the works? I'd actually prefer to have another small case for games, separate from the PSP case. bickle
Another vote for the face armor. Plus, the added UMD cases is a nice touch. Also, I just ordered a USB charging cable at Play Asia. $6.87 shipped. I hate a bunch of AC adapters, and there is always a PC handy, so I love USB charge cables. Orpheus
I'm gonna hold off for the logitech case. Have a Hori glare filter/screen protector although I have to put it on. Will use one of the many empty altoid tins I have for my UMDs (someone elses pics not mine, great idea though). Edit: Alert for Whooter. You will want one of these for public use so you do not have to worry about sharing your video collection.
JoeyN
Thought Id drop in a line about the pelican power brick. Ive been testing it today. If you have a place to place it down like on a table. Or if you can say let is sit in your jacket pocket its a good thing to have. But otherwise you wont be carrying this thing around while playing with it dangling straight down. the thing is a little heavy. it does work however. been playing all morning and its still powering the PSP. One thing they should have included with it was a clip for the belt or pocket. .would have helped out a bit capt
Gary P
I'm using a cheapo Intec case, but I dig it. Has enough room for the earbuds and a couple UMDs.
GrumpyElf
Hi Guys, Anyone here have one of the Belkin FM Transmitters? They put your MP3 player on a FM frequency, to use in the car, or on a home radio. I was playing Ridge Racers today at lunch in my car... and I was thinking how cool that would be to have it playing over my car speakers... Just curious, they're about $30 at Best Buy and most other stores I've seen them. Tom
Gary P
I already told Tom this via AIM, but I picked up a transmitter today at lunch, so I'll be able to post some impresisons this evening/tomorrow morning. Keep in mind I've about $1500 worth of audio gear (packed into a relatively small truck cab) so if I'm raving about how great it is, it's definitely a YMMV situation Gary

Tom[/quote'] I had a Belkin Tunecast II tuner and returned it due to the horrible audio quality compared to the tape adapter I was using. The only thing the Belkin had going for it was being able to tune to any FM frequency. The one that I'm really interested in is the iRiver FM transmitter that plugs directly into your cigarette lighter. It should have a more powerful signal, still has the ability to tune in any FM chanel, and is made by a company with a reputation for quality portable audio products. I'm hoping it's better since I'd like something for use in my GF's car. I'm still using the tape adapter for my mp3 players at this point, although I'm now looking at a JVC deck for my car that has a front mounted 1/8" aux input. Would be ncie if more cars stereos had these. I did run the PSP through the car stereo this weeknd playing some Lumines. Soudned awesome. Romier S
Gary, I edited your post to change the order of the pictures from top to bottom instead of left to right as it wonks up how the thread displays. Thanks.
GrumpyElf
In reference to the FM Transmitters... DO NOT GET THIS: "Sonic Impact FM Transmitter" Got it for cheap at Target - $17.99... it's going back ASAP.
