excel problem

I'm having a problem moving about within my workbooks

For example I used to be able to hold down ctrl then press the arrow key to move to the end of the row/column in the direction of the arrow key

for some reason now when i do that it moves me one page up/down or left/right

i'd really like to get it back to the way it used to be because that makes it much easier to format large areas at once, does anyone have any idea how I could have made this change and what i can do to correct it

 

excel 2000 by the way.

figured it out

something about transitions and lotus...it was hard to find in the help file but when i found it it all made sense
