JTello
Here the issue. I have a laptop here that was recently wiped clean and XP was reinstalled. I'm trying to play a DVD with windows media player or Realp player, but I'm getting the message that there is no DVD decoder installed. I don't have the software cd's that came with the laptop, and Microsoft's website has links to third party decoders, but they cost money. So, my question, is there a cost free solution to this issue? I'm just trying to play a standard store bought movie DVD.

Robot Monkey
A DVD decoder is included in the full version of the (free) K-Lite Codec pack. Once installed, it should allow you to watch DVD's through WMP. -j
