Camp
I believe this hits on all formats (even PC) on the 15th. Given that all the pre-release stuff looks excellent I assume many of us will be buying this one. What version will be the best? I haven't read anything about differences (if any) between versions. For reasons of technical superiority I'm kind of leaning toward the Xbox or PC version. Probably the Xbox as it looks like a game that might control better with a pad. dogbert
Xbox all the way.
Graeme
I'd be going XBox if I get it. Don't have to worry about how well it'll run on my comp, I get the surround sound and Hi Def, and the PC version is 4 discs which probably means a big install and disc swapping. Chris F
Im getting the XBox version. I can play it on a bigger screen, with a controller, and I don't have to install it on my PC. And I thought it was 6 discs, not 4...
Angry the Clown
Box for me... I'm a tad worried about the average reports on playtests of the final game, albeit only of the PS2 version thus far, but I'm looking forward to it nevertheless. dogbert
And I thought it was 6 discs, not 4... I believe it's 4. It was originally reported as 6, but they improved the codec & reduced the number of disks. And yes, it's a huge install - basically all 4 disks on your HD. I definitely think Xbox is the way to go, particularly if you've got a HDTV.
Romier S
And yes, it's a huge install About 4.7 gigs for the full install and 3.2 minimum is what I have heard.
Graeme
And I thought it was 6 discs, not 4... We've already got them at the store I work at. We sliced a box open to see how many were in there. The boxes are cool, they've got this reflection effect which makes it look kinda 3D... but not stupid looking like some other products that try to do a similar thing. kelley
Got it on Xbox today, Target had them out and as soon as I got one they immediately put them back under the counter.
Whooter
Mine has shipped from ebgames.com. Fingers crossed that they upgraded two-day shipping to Priority Overnight (like they have in the past (at least for me)). If not, I'll live. Andre F
I was very mich considering the PC version but I hear it is very buggy. So, I'm stuck between that and the Xbox version...
Angry the Clown
I also hear the PC version is buggy, and I frankly can't fathom how on earth the game can be played with a keyboard/mouse combo. Having played and completed it (with both characters) on the box, it is really designed for a joypad. The box version satisifed me enough (and remember I am stuck with playing x-box titles in 480i). The 5.1 makes for being one of the game's saving graces.
