Josh
I've been jonesing for anything other than sports or racing or puzzle games on the PSP. Would really like an RPG or platformer or adventure. Things will pick up with the adventure/rpg games on the PSP big-time, though: Death, Jr., a cartoony gothic platformer, comes in august. This is my most-anticipated PSP game. (http://www.gamespot.com/psp/action/deathjr) Daxter, a platformed based on J&D, comes out this fall as well. (http://www.gamespot.com/psp/action/daxter/) Ys: The Ark of Napishtim, an action RPG looks like a lot of fun (http://www.gamespot.com/psp/rpg/ysvithearkofnapishtim/) Capcom just announce Breath of Fire III for PSP (http://www.gamespot.com/psp/rpg/breathoffire3/) Of course, FFVII: Crisis Core (http://www1.gamespot.com/psp/rpg/crisiscorefinalfantasyvii/) Batman Begins could be an unexpected gem, but I'm not holding my breath (http://www1.gamespot.com/psp/action/batmanbegins) POP: Warrior Within being ported (http://www1.gamespot.com/psp/action/princeofpersiawarriorwithin/) A new Tomb Raider... please, oh, please don't suck (http://www1.gamespot.com/psp/action/tombraidervii/) Advent shadow... probably will turn out to be more of a shooter, but... (http://www1.gamespot.com/psp/action/adventshadow/) Sonic! (http://www1.gamespot.com/psp/action/sonicworkingtitle/) Adventure Player - make your own adventures. If I had a PC I'd be interested in this (http://www1.gamespot.com/psp/adventure/adventureplayer/) Pac-Mac World could be good... the PS1 game was a very decent platformer (http://www1.gamespot.com/psp/action/pacmanworld3) Popolocrois... I've been tempted to buy the import of this for months but will wait for the localization. Looks like a good traditional Japanese RPG (http://www1.gamespot.com/psp/rpg/popolocrois/) Tales of Eternia. Duh. (http://www1.gamespot.com/psp/rpg/talesofeternia/) I'll stop there. Anyway, looks like there's some love coming to us who want something more than racing, shooters, and puzzles (not that there's anything wrong with those). Romier S
Definitely want to give Advent Shadow a try. Rising wasn't all it was cracked up to be but apparently Shadow is being handled by a better development house. I'll definitely be keeping an eye. Death Jr. will more than likely be a purchase also. I hope Capcom gets to releasing some information on the PSP Devil May Cry game. It's now been confirmed to be an all new game in the series and I'm really wanting to hear some solid information on it (especially how it's going to end up playing on the PSP control wise). bickle
I'm so starved for some PSP action, I'd buy any of these if it came out tomorrow. (Well, except for Advent Rising. Card isn't getting any money from me).

Whooter
Just finished (finally!) Metal Gear Ac!d last night. Took me just under 30 hours (yes, I suck). Really enjoyed it and hopefully MGA2 will be just as entertaining... The ending was kind of a letdown, though.
Romier S
On the adventure game front, we have one of my most wanted PSP games: Medievil!
dogbert
Y'know, Medievil had completely slipped from my mind as an upcoming PSP game. Woohoo!

rustyjaw
FYI, PoPoLoCrois got a nice review here: http://www.mobiletechreview.com/games/PSP/Popolocrois.htm Conclusion: Behind the fairy tale styling and the obscure musical tracks is an absolutely brilliant RPG experience. A solid combat system, endearing characters and a riveting and often heartfelt storyline come together in one RPG package that should absolutely not be missed. The game also features a huge 30-40 hour quest that should keep even the most veteran RPG gamers busy for some time. So while PoPoLoCrois may not be one of the big name and recognizable RPGs everyone is waiting for on the PSP, you certainly wouldn't know it from playing it. Josh
One I didn't mention that I'm actually most excited about (it's trumped PopoloCrois, for me, at least) is The Legend of Heroes. Comes out about 2 weeks after PopoloCrois: http://www.gamespot.com/psp/rpg/eiyuudensetsuivakaishizuku/preview_6131903.html?tag=boxcar_psp_preview_headline It's another traditional Japanese RPG. Edit: That's a very promising review for PopoloCrois. I'm psyched for October.

Ryan FB
Here's something from TGS you might be interested in...Suikoden I & II on one UMD.
GreenMonkey
Here's something from TGS you might be interested in...Suikoden I & II on one UMD[/url']. Sold. A copy of Suikoden II costs like $80, Suikoden I like $30, I'd rather toss the money at a PSP.
PoisonJam
Can't tell you how happy I am to finally get some RPGs for the little black lozenge. That PopoloCrois review was like a shaft of light in the darkness. But here's the part that really sold me: 4.62 Dragons (out of five)
Josh
Man, the wait for this is killing me, especially since I have money to burn and a 8-hour plane trip next week. Death, Jr. isn't cutting it and Medieval doesn't look much better.
Peter O
PopoloCrois looks like it might be good for my upcoming 14 hour flight How to keep the PSP powered for that long is the real challenge.

Romier S
Metal Gear Ac!d is getting a price drop in Japan to only 19 bucks according to Gamespot. Hopefully we'll see that new price reflected here. I still haven't picked up the game, but for the price I most definitely will. http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/09/17/news_6133763.html During the Tokyo Game Show, Konami announced that it will re-release Metal Gear Acid as a "Best of Konami" budget reprint in Japan. The game will be coming out on November 17, just under a month before Metal Gear Acid 2 ships on December 8. At 2,100 yen ($19), the re-release of Metal Gear Acid will be the lowest-priced PSP game available in the market to date. The game was originally released last December priced at 4,800 yen ($43). xPieter
There've been a few RPGs released lately; anyone care to comment on titles they've tried? I'm thinking of Popolocrois, Legend of Heroes, & Kingdom of Paradise. The one I went for was Lord of the Rings Tactics. It's a good game, but far from great. The biggest problem for me is that the individual actions are very spotty. The effects of attacking another character don't seem to have any consistency and that makes strategy difficult. Basically you just have to be bigger and badder than the other guy and go in swinging.
Orpheus
Yea, so far I've kinda got mixed feeling regarding LOTR:Tactics for much the same reasons. It's just not drawing me in the way Rebelstar Tactical Command for GBA has. Probably be heading back to Xmen 2 shortly, as that has been quite addicitng for me.
