Having enjoyed the Ace Combat style of flight game, not too mention really liking Crimson Skies on the Xbox, certainly peaks my interest for Blazing Angels. A new Xbox exclusive WWII based flight game that is being developed by Ubisoft. You can take a look at some game information here:

Grow from an innocent rookie to a battle-scarred ace as you and your wingmen fight World War II’s most legendary air battles. From the Battle of Britain to the fierce dogfights over the Pacific and all the way to the skies of Berlin, your pilot skills will create history as you lead your squadron of Blazing Angels to victory.

Developed by Ubisoft, Blazing Angels is an all-new brand launching exclusively on Xbox. The spectacular graphics, cinematic-style, and a storyline that follows the success of a single squadron will make players feel like they are flying into Word War II combat in their favorite Hollywood movie.

Features:

Fight WWII’s most famous air battles: From Western Europe to the Pacific, your squadron of Blazing Angels will fight in all of WWII.

Experience spectacular movie-like graphics with accurate-looking planes and realistic terrain.

Use the special abilities of your wingmen: Three AI-controlled wingmen will obey commands and be crucial to the success of each mission.

Fly up to 40 planes in single-player and multiplayer missions: Jump right into air combat action in planes such as the famous P-51 Mustang, the P-38 Lightning, and the British Spitfire.

Play on Xbox Live with up to 16 players online: Engage in head-to-head dogfights or cooperative team play.

This Game does look sweet. It should fill my desire for multiplayer dogfights.

BUT (and please excuse the side line question) what happened to Crimson Skies. That title had franchise writen all over it. I loved that game. Come to think of it I haven't heard anything about Mechassault either. I can't believe that MS would let these titles slip away. Anyone know what going on?
