GreenMonkey
Inspiration taken from the Uwe Boll Bloodrayne Thread, Doom movie and Fantastic Four reviews coming in (although F4 can't be that bad). #1) Battlefield Earth #2) Species 2 #3) Wing Commander And for fun I will relate the story to go with Battlefield Earth... I saw Battlefield Earth in the theater with my friends. My wife (then g/f) slept through the last half - so lucky. What a horrifying experience. I felt numbed at the end, and pissed off that they got my $5. I notice that my top 3 worst movies are sci-fi. I guess sci-fi can be the worst if given the opportunity to suck. I'm guessing Doom @ #

Romier S
Rawhead Rex. Go rent it if you must. I doubt you'll make it 10 minutes into the movie before wanting to kill yourself.
EnemaEms
#1 House of the Dead......Battlefield Earth looks like Casablanca compared to this. #2 Battlefield Earth....but it still sucks -Dean-

Jeff W
I liked Rawhead Rex :hmm Although semi-recent, Alone in the Dark was probably the biggest, most steamy pile I've stepped in yet :barf
Ryan FB
The Life of David Gale Here's an excerpt of my impressions after watching it: This movie redefines the word "terrible" on almost every level. The dialog, the characters, the plot, the editing...everything was awful. This movie wouldn't even be worth a rental, much less theater admission or even 1-130 minutes of your life. How in the hell they got Kevin Spacey, one of my favorite actors, dragged into this utterly God-awful movie is beyond me. Kate Winslet is terrible and unbelievable. The entire thing from start to finish, is absolutely the most predictable, contrived, banal, hackneyed, trite, and condescending piece of crap I've ever watched. It drives home it's theme with all the subtlety of beating you over the head with a sledgehammer. I can't really go into detail about how truly bad this movie is without revealing plot details, but then again if you haven't figured out the ending before the characters have you need to seriously look into the possibility that you're a total moron. I would definitely give this a 0/10. This movie doesn't even deserve an F for effort. Avoid at all costs. I think I'm going to go watch Se7en and American Beauty now in order to cleanse... foogledricks
I always find it funny when people's "worst movies ever" are mainstream movies. I know everyone is entitled to their own opinions obviously, but it seems a strange coincidence when one's worst movie EVER is a recent mainstream movie starring a very successful actor. To me that usually says that either the person hasn't seen a lot of movies, they don't have a good memory of the bad movies they've seen in the past, they're filtering their criteria based on recent or mainstream movies, or they're just trying to be controversial (e.g. Star Wars Episode I is the worst movie ever!). Do you know what I mean? Of course, I'm not really reacting to this thread, so much as I am reacting to what this type of discussion usually leads to. The "Life of David Gale" was by no means a good movie, but I guarantee I could come up with a list of 20 movies that you definitely would enjoy less. That being said, here is my list of movies I wish I didn't see, but are by no means the worst movies I've ever seen. Because those movies weren't memorable enough for me to recall: Flesh Eating Mothers Hollywood Hottubs Part II Cool World Scary Movie 2 Nothing But Trouble Oh yes, Batman and Robin too. Wow. Mark E
I enjoy Batman & Robin simply for how horridly ungodly awful it truly is. Bat-Nips, yikes. I prefer the classic awful movie from the 50's, being an afficionado of Mystery Science Theater 3000 and all. If you have never seen Manos: The Hands of Fate, you truly have not seen a terrible film. Because those movies weren't memorable enough for me to recall: No no no....the worst movies are the ones you remember, because you are so traumatized by them. Like Wing Commander and Battlefield Earth. :eh I mean, at least I slept through half of the Spawn live-action movie. P.S. There's a difference between "movies I hate" and "worst". I may dislike The Fast and the Ridiculous (errr...furious) but I know it doesn't belong in the worst list. That's saved for utter crap like Battlefield Earth. The "Life of David Gale" was by no means a good movie, but I guarantee I could come up with a list of 20 movies that you definitely would enjoy less. Give me your worst. I watch quite a few movies per year, and quite a few bad movies per year, but Gale holds a special place in my heart for trying so hard, thinking so highly of itself, and failing so miserably. There's shit films that know they're shit (these can actually turn out humorous at least), shit films that are just kind of ambivalent (I would class most low-budget cheesy films and poorly done generic cookie-cutter fare here), and then there's films like Gale that are shit films that think their shit doesn't stink. I've seen 4 of the films on your non-memorable list, and would place them all above Gale. It's not so much that it was unenjoyable - it's more that it was pretentious to the point of encouraging the viewer to participate in actively hating it. James T
Battlefield Earth was pretty bad. I saw it in a packed theater, but by the end of the movie, less than half stayed. I wanted to leave early too(I haven't seen a movie where I wanted to do that again) but I was with a group of about a dozen people....kinda makes it hard sending the message down the line. Graeme
I honestly have a hard time recalling some of the truely bad movies I've seen. Most of the ones I would say I don't like are usually ones that I just feel are overrated, not truely dislike. However, a few recent ones I really wish I hadn't given my time to: The Forgotten - Starts of ok and then degenerates into the most godawful shlock. Poor poor Julianne Moore. I despise this movie. Envy Mr. 3000

Adam Tyner
Flesh Eating MothersI kinda liked this when I first caught it on USA years and years and years ago. I watched it again on DVD a couple months back and not only hate the movie, I hate myself for ever thinking anything remotely positive about it. I watch a lot of the "so bad, it's good" variety, and if they offer some sort of entertainment value, I wouldn't want to lump them into a list like this, but the most recent agonizing moviegoing experience I've suffered through is Marronnier: A Doll Horror Movie. MastaRedSnappa
Recent worst movies (these are ones I watched via Netflix and the only ones I've ever given 1 star to): - Scooby Doo - Resident Evil 2 (I can't remember the actual title but you know the one I'm talking about) As far as old movies go, my all-time worst moviegoing experience was when I saw "Stroker Ace" and "Yellowbeard". And no, it wasn't a double feature! My brother and I saw "Stroker Ace" at one movie theater and actually travelled to a different movie theater to see "Yellowbeard" (I believe what ever movie we wanted to see was already sold out). Man, talk about a double-whammy kick to the balls. Although I bet if I watched those movies now, they might be enjoyable in a MST3K kind of way. Derrik Draven
It would have to be "Rock and Roll Nightmare". Saw it back in the late 80's when I was a teen. This turd isn't even able to be called a B-movie. If there were C-movies, this would be one of them. Acting; horrible, special effects; below amateurish, story; a fucking joke. :lmfao There was some goofball that went by the name of "Thor" in it. Some big haired, heavymetal weightlifter. He really calls himself Thor in real life. You can even find a website somewhere on the net about him. It was so funny watching these guys be so serious in this total piece of shit film. Worst I've EVER seen...hands down. HA! I found a link...here it is: Rock and Roll Nightmare
Thrillho
1. The Big Lebowski. I wanted to leave the theater no less than 10 times during this boring snooze of a movie. Now I know many people love this movie but not me, I just really don't enjoy the Cohen brother movies at all, because right behind this is... 2. Fargo... If I had to hear Ya! one more stinking time  !!!! 3. The Schumacher Batmans.
EnemaEms
Man, if The Big Lebowski is the worst film you have ever seen, you haven't seen many stinkers then. Out of the lists so far I liked: The Grudge (loved this film) House of 1000 Corpses (Can't wait for The Devil's Rejects) The Big Lebowski (love this film as well) Fargo Starship Troopers -Dean-
