MrJames
Looks like the only thread on this game was deleted in the E3 section. If not please merge with existing thread. Rumors have been circulating regarding a 360 version of Burnout Revenge. Only evidence thus far has been the listing at EB Games. Looks like we got something a little more concrete now... rustyjaw
Interesting. It looks nice, but that could have been done by someone with a decent 3D app on a PC.
Romier S
Now hosted on the LCVG server as well for anyone wanting a mirror: Revenge Trailer Looks like I'll be waiting on the Xbox360 release then. I see no reason to bother buying the current gen release if this next gen version is in the works. I doubt EA will be officially saying anything until the current gen versions have been released or are already near release.
AnthonyVolpe
I preordered it for XBox 360 a few weeks ago.
foogledricks
I have never owned a Burnout title. #3 has gotten so many enthusiastic reviews, that I am almost compelled to buy it. But then here comes the sequel! And OMG, if there is going to be a 360 version, I have my first must-have 360 title.
Romier S
Oh Keith, considering how cheap Burnout 3 is anymore, I'd say go get it regardless of the new one coming or not. The single player challenge alone is worth the 20 bucks and will keep you entertained for a long time.
MrJames
EA Confirms Burnout Revenge for Xbox 360 in 2006 Burnout Revenge and Black, due in February 2006, plus a 360 version of Burnout Revenge for 360 in 2006. Likely changes will include improved resolution, graphic detail, and other technical enhancements. We speculate that Criterion is also likely to add extra or different modes to distinguish the 360 version.
Romier S
Well, there goes EA proving me wrong. I only hope a more concrete date is forthcoming. I don't know if I can hold back the temptation to double dip. :thud
JoeyN
Well one game ill double dip on is Modern Combat. If the release of burnout revenge is far apart, make that two games
MrJames
I don't know if I can hold back the temptation to double dip. I'll definitely be double dipping on this. I gave up faster then a Frenchman.

iainl
That Black is looking pretty special, too, by the way. If anyone hasn't heard about it yet, it's basically Criterion taking the "Bigger, Faster, More explosive" principle from Burnout 3 and applying it to an FPS. They've got a nice physics engine for Renderware, and now they really, really want some ragdolls to kick around, walls to explode in a shower of bricks and so on. I missed out on Burnout 2 for the same reason Keith's missed 3; just as I actually came close to getting it, the sequel was nearly out and it seemed a silly idea. 3 is a pittance, though, so if you've got time to play it then dive in; it's absolutely amazing for the first 10 hours or so. MrJames
Both Gamestop and EB list the PS2/Xbox version of Burnout Revenge for $39.99.
Romier S
I've heard some talk that a demo for Burnout Revenge will appear on the Xbox and PS2 versions of Madden 2006. I've not read any confirmation on that (so if anyone wants to post a link that does feel free), but it's making the rounds across a few forums. Angry the Clown
I missed out on Burnout 2 for the same reason Keith's missed 3; just as I actually came close to getting it, the sequel was nearly out and it seemed a silly idea. Although it wouldn’t constitute as nearing another sequel that would be very close to release, a 2006 360 release of Revenge would still put it less than a year from what I would assume (knowing EA) is an inevitable annual Burnout update that could be expected toward the end of next year. I'm certainly not buying this one twice. It'll be a 360 purchase or a wait for the fifth version. Daniel
MrJames
I picked up the demo disc of Burnout Revenge and it :rock :rock :rock - Only one level with no online but its loaded with ramps and side roads. - You can now crash into traffic and run them into opponents. - Crashbreakers are now available in races so when you crash you can take out others that may be around you. Is it September yet?
Romier S
Damn you James. You are going to make me breakdown and buy this twice aren't you? :bh
dogbert
Played the Xbox demo. What James said. I was going to ignore this & get the PSP version, but I think I'll end up with both. This demo rocked. Just felt so damn urgent - lots of blur, lots of sense of speed, lots of traffic & chaos at your control.
dogbert
I went & bought Burnout 2DC for the Xbox today at lunch to get my fix until September.

Romier S
Yeah, I watched the trailer earlier this afternoon and I pretty much made the decision that a double dip will be happening for sure. *sigh*

Dan B.
I'm honestly a bit ho-hum on this from the demo. I thought the course design & graphics were improved, but I'm not sure I like driving through the traffic feeling like driving through a bunch of mosquitos. I guess I miss weaving my way around the traffic. I'll probably give it a rent, & if I dig it then I'll pick it up for 360.
