Whooter
Just kidding. Don't turn into the HTF, though.... :tu

kelley
Please click the ads whenever you can, it will benefit all of us as ever cent earned from the ads will be going into improving the site and prizes for our readers, not filling the pockets of the owners. kelley
Ok I just went over to the HTF for the first time in who knows how long. I absolutely promise we will never get like that. I'd rather start limiting users then fill up the site with ads, hell they put hot link ads in their users post! BTW - We have already made 75 cents! :tu
Romier S
Bit of an issue with the ad being as large as it is right now. When clicking on the search drop down, it falls behind the ad in Opera. Works fine in IE though. I preferred the size of the ad the way it was (2 instead of 4)
dogbert
Um, what ad?
kelley
Romier that just appears to be an Opera issue, works fine in IE, Mozilla, and Firefox. PS - Keep clicking people we are up to $2.69!
kelley
I moved the ad up above the bar to save the one Opera user on our forum.
JFo
Hey, guys, I think Joel was just kidding when he said, "Make it stop!!!"
Romier S
The server wasn't. We are investigating the ads being the cause of the *some* of the issue we've been experiencing. They will be gone for the time being (and may remain gone for the foreseeable future depending on certain situations happening by the end of September).... kelley
(and may remain gone for the foreseeable future depending on certain situations happening by the end of September).... Being amongst friends I think its ok to tell say what this means....IGN is trying to buy us. Apparently our forum running skills are just too great and they want us on their team, and for that they are tossing enough money our way that we could buy joel a new hooker a day, bobbio the complete set of hooked on phonics, finance StarMonkey Films next two feature films, and still have enough money to get our kids invited to the Gates' kids birthday parties. IGN has money now? Where was that money when they couldn't afford to pay writers?! Fuckers. Yay! Let the 12 year olds in!
GreenMonkey
I'd click on an ad if I could find one. Where do I find these elusive "advertisements" you speak of?

kelley
Read a few posts up in this thread. The ads are gone because they were causing several problems with the forum software. We are not yet sure what was causing the issue and it's too early to point blame to the ads, to the server, to the network, to J.Fo's love of Amy Grant, et al.
