Chris The Rock
I've a couple questions: Does this new game (expansion, whatever they're calling it) have single player content, or just multiplayer? Does it require you to have a copy of GR2? Anyone played it? How is it?
Buck
1- There's single player content. 2- It's a stand alone expansion. 3- Haven't played it, but Gamespots review is very positive.
Chris F
Just picked it up... Red Storm video loads up - X - Please restart your Xbox. Restart my 'box. Same thing. On my 4th restart it decides to work. Looks like the dreaded Red X problem has reared its ugly head again. According to the official forums, it's a known problem and there will be a fix out this week or next.
Angel P
Happened to me also. Worked on the 3rd try.

JoeyN
Except for the disc read error the game is a lot of fun. Bigger maps, smoother graphics/framerate and terrific sound :tu
Chris The Rock
Right on! I'll be cashing in some Reward Zone certs and pickig this baby up. (Glad to hear about the great sound - I'm getting some new speakers and an SVS sub this week - can't wait to try it out.)
MrJames
I'm getting some new speakers and an SVS sub this week GR:SS is perfect for that.
Romier S
One of Ubi's reps posted over at the IGN forum about a fix for the red X issue. Here is the post: The Fix for the red X is to boot the game with the controller out of the slot. We don't know the reason for this error, and it wasn't picked up in testing at all. It something that occurred when the discs were produced. The fix is an easy one and shouldn't impact gameplay.
merlot
One of Ubi's reps posted over at the IGN forum about a fix for the red X issue. Here is the post: I had to do that the first time I booted up. GR2:SS is pretty intense. Too bad I spent most of the beginning watching the damn game because I still had Halo 2 mentality. Once I slowed it down I was able to last longer. Large co-op games were much better than I anticipated. The enemy AI is pretty tough, even on normal. Graphics and sound are excellent, though I'm not sure if they are an upgrade over GR2 since I haven't played that since Halo 2 came out. Romier S
Well, I took back Black Hawk Down (since I pretty much abandoned it after playing the Battlefield 2 Modern Combat demo), and picked up Summit Strike today. I'll try get online sometime this week for some coop action.

Angel P
I've been out of comission since the 11th so I haven't had a chance to try this. Joey, have you given any of these a try? I'll try later on but wanted to know what you've experienced thus far.
JoeyN
Yes I did try it and the DL content worked fine. No problems at all. SS takes a little long to load up, but once it does it plays perfectly
