Chris F
Since a few of us got out SOCOM 3 beta discs in the mail, maybe we should get together and play a few rounds. I'm free most of this morning & afternoon, and would love to hop online and play a few rounds if anyones up for it.

Calvin
We need to get a bunch of us on at the same time so we can try this out in our own room.
Gary P
I haven't read up on all the features that much. However, I think they were supposed to implement something to scale back the size of the map dependent on the number of players. Anyone know if that actually made it in? If not then even if we get 8-10 of us in a room, the map is way too big to play by ourselves, unless you're just interested in exploring (which is fine too)
Romier S
So the games finally out. Did anyone happen to pick it up and give it a whirl? I took a look at the box at the store and was thinking about it but with Battlefront II being so close to release I decided to wait until I heard some more about it. The reviews have been pretty positive so far.
MrJames
I passed on Socom 3. I've checked everything and can't get my PS2 online anymore. It has to be some problem with either the PS2 or network adapter. I'm not willing to spend any money on a new adapter or slimline PS2 to troubleshoot since I rarely play anything with PS2. I won't be online with Sony again until PS3.
Josh
I may do this eventually since I love SOCOM. For now I'll be satiated with Shadow, WoW, and (hopefully) Battlefront 2. Oh - and SOCOM for PSP.
MrJames
I hope Zipper is now hard at work on the next gen Socom.
Romier S
I hope Zipper is now hard at work on the next gen Socom. I bet we'll see one more Socom for the PS2. They'll no doubt start pre-production on a next gen version of the game, but there is still more life left to the PS2 and I can see them taking advantage of it for those that don't want to upgrade initially. I'll more than likely just end up skipping Socom 3 then. I'll stick to Battlefront at the end of the month.
Gary P
Apparently the game is a mess right now. All kinds of bugs:People having problems hosting more than 16 users, players can't change weapon load-outs between rounds, more headshots than kills, silenced weapons that aren't supopsoed to be silenced, and of course chat problems (tied into the hosting problems). And they think they're ready to implement a profanity filter for next-gen stuff?
