Very nice. We're currently shopping for something that is suitable for X-wing and expandable to an Armada sized surface.

Broke out Marvel United to learn it. It's relatively straightforward (at least in the base game), reminds me a little of Pandemic in how you have to manage threat levels + deal with constant pressure from a ticking down "clock" effectively. Draw a card, play a card, use the symbols of your card + the last other hero card to move/attack/deal with threats etc. Enemy moves around the board + does ever increasing damage to you + the "fear" level of the city. Should be straightforward to teach kids. 

I wasn't close to being an "all in" backer + it's still a ridiculous number of boxes. I think I'll be condensing these down (and ignoring the upcoming XMen campaign).

@dogbert I got it all, and the number of boxes is insane. Crazy thing is, the retail release plans changed, so only into the  spider verse is being released. The rest by default are all is exclusive. If I do get x-men it will be in the pledge manager down the line.

I think I can throw all the heroes + enemies in the KS extra box + keep everything else in the main one. Have you had a chance to play it yet?

I played the base game solo a few times when it came in wave one. I haven’t had a chance to play again. Hell I have the 2nd TMNT Kickstarter which I have not touched yet either which I really want to play as well.
 

Almost all of our game group will be fully vaccinated by the end of the month, and we are getting game nights going again ASAP

Finally broke out the copy of Pandemic Legacy season 2 I've had since before the actual Pandemic started, and we played the first "real" game tonight (after a few practice rounds of the prologue).  Managed to win with minimal damage to the world-we'll see how absolutely boned we'll get as things progress I suppose.  I gather the game expects you to lose at least a few times based on the way the rules work.  Enjoying it so far!

Got Snowdonia set up for a refresh of the rules. This "complete edition" is way, way too painful to set up in how it's laid out and organized in a supposed "deluxe" edition, but there's a fantastic worker placement game there with an insane amount of variability with the number of expansions and promos.

 

But, boy, I need to reorganize it to make it much easier to setup.


It's perfectly fine on the table - big board, but most of the game is on that board outside of trains you can temporarily purchase + contract cards you buy.

Here is why it's ridiculous in the box - tons & tons of expansion cards in sets that dramatically tweak the rules, add more trains, themes etc. All sleeved. And which, despite them saying they'll support sleeves (and sold them...), don't actually fit in the provided boxes. So I printed slanted racks. Combine that with the unoptimized plastic gametrayz type things, there's so much wasted space in a big huge box. And you still can't just pull up a tray + start, because of storage decisions they made. 

Ugh.

Using the arrival of Zombicide 2.0 to re-evaluate all the "bits" that have accumulated for the series through multiple Kickstarters. 2.0 came with updated survivor spawn cards for all the existing content, so it's all backwards compatible with everything I have, which is awesome and a large reason why I ended up backing. But all those KS mean I have a lot of redundant bits + pieces, and stuff I just won't ever use. Plus, 2.0 effectively replaces everything in the base 1.0 box.... 

So I've got all three big boxes out, pulling out everything that makes up the base 1.0 at a minimum to rebuild that box to give away, and figuring out what to do with the big piles of now redundant spawn cards, etc. This is a lot of stuff. At some point, I'll attack this with my 3d printer, but it'll be a big effort.

We cracked open the "Charms + Potions" expansion for the Harry Potter Deckbuilder. Took a bit to get back in the groove, it's been quite a while since we beat the Monsters expansion. Thoroughly dig this game + its structure of boxes to expand the elements. Great intro to the genre.

We bought the Monsters expansion, but I noticed in the first stab at it that it got much harder.  Haven't been back to it in a while. 

 

We just got into July in Pandemic Legacy season 2, and attempt 1 was our second loss.  This is after winning June VERY quickly as well, which shows how the order the cards come up in changes everything.  The game is starting to get much harder too with the supply shortages-I definitely get the impression that they're not expecting you to win this one.  But hey-at least our rationing level goes above 0 next time?

Pandemic Legacy season 2 complete!  We blew through the last few months over the weekend, and ended up with a final score of, I think, 841 (very close to the top tier).  Would have had more if we'd actually won July.  Another excellent campaign-I'd forgotten the plot of the first game, but the links between them are interesting to say the least.  Also has some fun rule exploits like this one from the last few months:

We had an awesome exploit figured out for September/october when we had the red cards come into play.  One character could recon with one fewer card, without a supply center, and had an ability to trade a card from their hand with the discard.  Turns out that if you link a new city to the grid, the city cards go into the discard pile, which means they could be immediately raided with that exchange ability :)  We got all the red recons done in one month that way.

 

Also managed to win without any forsaken cities.  Scratched off all the cards that we hadn't unlocked and found out that there were a few really nasty outcomes.  Glad that we didn't let things go too far.

Would love to see a pic of it all condensed down :) Are you backing the XMen one? I'm tempted to go for the base for the stretch goals + more variety, but I really shouldn't as there's so much there already.

If I do it will be when the pledge manager comes out. I really want to though.
