PoisonJam
Interesting article about, well, the top 20 games that nobody played but should have. Written by our very own Romier Silvera? Let's see, Jet Grind Radio, Panzer Dragoon Saga, BG&E, Samba de Amigo...you be the judge. http://www.racketboy.com/retro/2005/12/top-20-games-that-nobody-played-but.html
dogbert
Have to disagree with a bunch of those picks, not because they're bad games, but because quite clearly a lot of people have played them - Jet Set Radio, Virtua Tennis, River City Ransom, PacMan Vs, Phantasy Star & XCom were all big sellers for their time. JoeyN
Ive played all of those but two, and most of the others are popular games
General Zot
Good picks, great games all. Unfortunately, having missed Panzer Saga and some others in the day, I'm not going to fork over $200+ on eBay to play them now
Solitice
I would of put "Flink" on that list, such a good and beautiful game that got no play at all.
iainl
A good half of the list is the top 10 games that nobody got a chance to play, because they command silly money on eBay. I was actually mildly surprised to not find Radiant Silvergun waiting for me at the bottom of the list.
The Daisy
I still regret never getting the chance to play Panzer Dragoon Saga on my Saturn. My only option to play it, is not a legal one... and that's just so sad. Glen
Mark E
Yeah, cripes, River City Ransom has a huge fanbase, what up with that?
PoisonJam
Yeah, cripes, River City Ransom has a huge fanbase, what up with that? Well he does allude to that: It's simple controls and deep gameplay have taken it from it's originally obscure status to a bit of a cult favorite. I have no idea about the sales data, but it sounds like it's one of those games that didn't sell well initially and was then "discovered" after the fact.
