Robot Monkey
This thing looks awesome, but it only works for Macs. It's called CoverFlow and, well, you have to see it in action. Look at the quicktime video on this link to see it in action: http://www.steelskies.com/coverflow/ That's just too cool.
EnemaEms
Very cool...hopefully a windows version will see the light of day. -Dean-
Robot Monkey
I doubt it -- the dev is apparantly a hardcore Mac guy -- but there is no harm in hoping. Hoping: ON.
iainl
Sorry, but coolest iTunes thing around right now is the fact that my Brother's band undertheigloo have the UK Store's "Free Download Single Of The Week" this week. Dan and Paul, get downloading, now!
iainl
Thing less cool: Apple have cocked up, and the single isn't appearing as free after all. The band are having heated conversations with the tech guys right now.
Angry the Clown
Boo.... Let me know when it's up. I've listened to the preview of the single at least and I really like it! In fact I previewed all the tracks on the album page too and it seems consistently solid. ........they don't need a director for music videos do they? iainl
I don't know if they're doing a video, but you know you're at the top of my recommendations list. Apparently, if you go to the album (called circlesend) the track is listed there for ?0.00 and you can get it that way until they fix it properly. Angry the Clown
I noticed there are streaming clips from the album at the band's wesbtie too, so at least others here can get a taster: http://www.undertheigloo.com/
rustyjaw
I know the guy that developed coverflow from the Arstechnica mac forum, I will post over there and ask him if a windows version is going to happen.
rustyjaw
BTW, I got an answer to my question about porting to Windows. Fraid not. It's written in lots & lots of Cocoa, which doesn't exist on Windows.
Zathras
Yeah I tried this a week or so ago - its very very cool. If they add the ability to switch libraries and individually pick tracks I'll replace my jukebox pc w/ a Mac Mini.
Robot Monkey
Yeah I tried this a week or so ago - its very very cool. If they add the ability to switch libraries and individually pick tracks I'll replace my jukebox pc w/ a Mac Mini. I think it would be awesome if you could click on the album and it flipped over with a clickable track listing on the back (like the way some widget settings work). The listing on the back can be plain text; it doesn't have to be a scan of the album. tendril, tell the guy to get on that so it's ready by the time I get a Mac. Which could be a while.
