JoeyN
Well the time is almost here. 2 hours on Sunday and 2 hours on Monday. With the quote below from tvguide.com you know its gonna be good My advice to you? Strap on an extra pair of Depends, fasten your couch belt and prepare yourself for a roller-coaster ride to end all roller-coaster rides. (Oh, and you'll probably want to bring along some Kleenex, too. Yeah, it's that kind of roller coaster.)
Bruce B
Love it! Joey, do you know what night it will normally be on after the initial episodes?
JoeyN
Yeah it will be on mondays at 9 PM EST.
exile
(Oh, and you'll probably want to bring along some Kleenex, too. Yeah, it's that kind of roller coaster.) I think that means someone close to Jack will get killed. So I wonder who is going to be the mole this year? It wouldn't be 24 w/o one. Bruce B
I still keep a lesson I learned from Jack in the back of my mind. When a nuclear bomb is detonated, hide behind a big rock and you will be fine.
James T
The lesson I learned from Jack is that with SUVs, you can get anywhere you want in LA in under 10 mins. I was disappointed they pulled Prison Break till late Spring/early Summer, but it's great to have Jack back.
Jordan_E
Two more days until the return of the Jack Bauer Power Hour! This will the first season I will be watching in my HT, and with the wife not caring about Desperate Housewives anymore, a potential battle Sunday has been safely averted. Bring on the body count, Jack!
JoeyN
A quote from Keifer.. "This time, something happens to Jack on a very personal level that pisses him off," says Bauer's alter-ego, star Kiefer Sutherland. "Because he's presumed dead, a lot of the boundaries he was restricted by -- by virtue of who he was working for -- simply don't exist now. And he's mad. Jordan_E
I think I know from other sites what pisses Jack off and it happens in the first 10 minutes of the first show. Could be a stunning way to start off this season, if my guess is right.

JoeyN
Except for casting stuff i have no idea what is going to happen, and i do not plan on trying to find out capt
Jordan_E
Well, no matter how you try to figure out 24, they always manage to twist things around about halfway through the season. What I can't believe is that they don't write the scripts over their off time! Would at least get rid of that "seems they're making it up as they go along" feeling it gets sometimes, especially during the infamous cougar episodes! exile
they always manage to twist things around about halfway through the season. So far the formula is a bit predictable you must admit. The initial issue is always resolved half way thru, while also catching yet another mole then Jack saves the world then while they are at it they fill in the rest with fluff to keep us interested. I'm not complaining though because it's my favorite show on TV right now but I think they could tighten it up a bit and try to atleast make the show somewhat realistic maybe I'm alone in this but that seems to be the biggest 24 complaint. The writing is also the reason why Season 1's ending caught me off guard. Until this year I wasn't really blown away at the end like I was at the end of S1. Jordan_E
They sorta shot their load with that final moment of season 1, I believe. That was a complete and utter stunner, and still hasn't been bested in the show.
BdoUK
They sorta shot their load with that final moment of season 1, I believe. That was a complete and utter stunner, and still hasn't been bested in the show. Many people around the net think that Season 2 is the best season of 24...but I have to agree that Season 1 is still the best to me. I didn't catch the show on its original run, but I rented Season 1 last summer and watched the whole thing in two days. I have enjoyed all the seasons of 24, but I do think they are becoming a bit too predictable. Hopefully they shake things up a bit for Season 5. JoeyN
S4 is my favorite season. It was consistant the entire way, with some gut wrenching cliffhangers. Season 1 is second followed by season 2 which i thought had a great start but floundered towards the end. S3 was just too up and down, but i really liked the way it ended. Carlucci
If you time-shift with Tivo, you wil definitely want to pad tonights premiere as the football game is before and it could run over. Oh, and open a socket to division so they can run the protocol. Carlos.

JoeyN
:jaw :eek :w00t I think that about sums up the range of emotions from tonights premiere. Damn Fantastic start to the season. Im still in shock over the first 10 minutes. Ill talk spoilers once the west coast has seen it
foogledricks
Although it is shocking that they killed Jack, and its in some ways great, I don't think Chloe can carry the show, as much as I like her. We'll see.
JoeyN
:lmfao If they killed Jack there would be no
foogledricks
Btw, I love this episode. It bothers me a little bit that the President is such a freak'n idiot, but I guess that's better than him being in on the conspiracy.
