Well the time is almost here. 2 hours on Sunday and 2 hours on Monday. With the quote below from tvguide.com you know its gonna be good

My advice to you? Strap on an extra pair of Depends, fasten your couch belt and prepare yourself for a roller-coaster ride to end all roller-coaster rides. (Oh, and you'll probably want to bring along some Kleenex, too. Yeah, it's that kind of roller coaster.)

A quote from Keifer..

"This time, something happens to Jack on a very personal level that pisses him off," says Bauer's alter-ego, star Kiefer Sutherland. "Because he's presumed dead, a lot of the boundaries he was restricted by -- by virtue of who he was working for -- simply don't exist now. And he's mad.

Well, no matter how you try to figure out 24, they always manage to twist things around about halfway through the season. What I can't believe is that they don't write the scripts over their off time! Would at least get rid of that "seems they're making it up as they go along" feeling it gets sometimes, especially during the infamous cougar episodes!

So far the formula is a bit predictable you must admit.

The initial issue is always resolved half way thru, while also catching yet another mole then Jack saves the world then while they are at it they fill in the rest with fluff to keep us interested.

I'm not complaining though because it's my favorite show on TV right now but I think they could tighten it up a bit and try to atleast make the show somewhat realistic ;)

maybe I'm alone in this but that seems to be the biggest 24 complaint.

The writing is also the reason why Season 1's ending caught me off guard. Until this year I wasn't really blown away at the end like I was at the end of S1.

They sorta shot their load with that final moment of season 1, I believe. That was a complete and utter stunner, and still hasn't been bested in the show.

Many people around the net think that Season 2 is the best season of 24...but I have to agree that Season 1 is still the best to me. I didn't catch the show on its original run, but I rented Season 1 last summer and watched the whole thing in two days.

I have enjoyed all the seasons of 24, but I do think they are becoming a bit too predictable. Hopefully they shake things up a bit for Season 5.

S4 is my favorite season. It was consistant the entire way, with some gut wrenching cliffhangers. Season 1 is second followed by season 2 which i thought had a great start but floundered towards the end. S3 was just too up and down, but i really liked the way it ended.
