Oh geez. I forgot to add Simpsons Wrestling.

Very easy choice. No Mercy by far with Wrestlemania 2000 at a close second (mostly for the create-a-belt option). Third place would be FirePro D on the DC. Great gameplay, hella fun and a deep create-a-wrestler.

 

Now all I need is for AKI to develop Def Jam 2 and put the same deep creat-a-wrestler features from No Mercy and I will once again be in wrestling game heaven!

No Mercy is my fav of all time. But I would but the Japaneese versions of the Aki N64 games 2nd, I beieve they were the Virtual Pro Wrestling games.

Well, it does say current wrestling games. Otherwise - I would agree with you. Plus there are some awesome arcade videogames that have been made.

Seriously though, most wrestling games just really don't seem to be as together as they should be given the level of presentation available in the likes of the ESPN games by Sega. I know fans of the genre expect a high level of customisation and again, the bar never seems to be set as high as fans expect. I don't quite know why that is - why are so many wrestling games so /sloppy/ in a lot of ways these days?

 

I'm far from a fan of the genre, but a good mate is always forcing me to play Smackdown at his place.
