Anthony G
Hey Guys, I want a Digital Video Recorder and a friend sent me this link: http://www.ecost.com/ecost/shop/detail.asp?DPNo=587885&wt.mc_id=EWB08554&adcampaign=email,EWB08554 Is this a good deal? I really know nothing about TiVO or recorders. Thanks, Ant
exile
Not bad but the caveat is you need to do a 1 yr contract with Tivo otherwise you pay back the $150.

I'm going to check with my cable company about their DVR's to see how much they charge to upgrade my boxes and how much a month for the service. I'll see what works out better. Whooter
Unless it's something rediculous, you'll find that your cable company probably has a better deal, plus they're likely to have HDTV DVRs. I pay $10 a month for my service thru my cable company.
exile
I pay $4.95 but I have to upgrade to digital cable. If you only have expanded basic, then the price difference to ugprade may be costly. Likely they will be the better deal though.
Anthony G
Thanks for the help guys. I have IO digital already, I need to upgrade one box and it's 10 a month. So that is the way to go. Now I just need to buy an HDTV.
