Camp
Looking for suggestions for a protective bag for a notebook computer. What do you guys use/what do you recommend? I'd like something casual with enough space for a larger 15.4" notebook and a few other things (pens, ipod, pda).
kelley
Look towards Crumpler. http://www.crumplerbags.com/home.php
Camp
The crumplers are nice. Do they include a removeable sleeve or is there a padded area inside? I'm also looking at this one: http://www.roadwired.com/store/Product.cfm?categoryid=1&Productid=
Josh
If you want a really tough bag with removable sleeve, go with Spire. They're the guys that invented it: http://www.spireusa.com I've had one since 1997 and it's still perfect.
kelley
There is some padding inside the Crumplers, no removeable sleeve.
Camp
Thanks for the response. I don't want a sleeve...too much work.
Darius
You might also look at timbuk2 bags. I've had a commute for over a year and I love it. It worked great with my 12" powerbook. Unfortunately I just bought a new dell with the 15.4" screen and its .25" too small. So I'm debating what to get. I'm thinking of just getting a Commute XL. They're a little more expensive than some of the others but I challenge you to find someone that has a timbuk2 bag and doesn't love it.
