Romier S
Apparently the game is outside the realm of the actual KUF series. This new game is more of a Diablo style hack and slash with randomly generation dungeons. No word on if it completely ditches the strategy portion of the previous games though. dogbert
Y'know, I might actually be interested in this because they're ditching the previous pretensions at strategy. A straight up dungeon crawler can be a lot of fun.

That is an approach that would definitely get my best friend on board. I'll reserve judgement until the product is finished and seeing how it works out. The subject material is already interesting. I almost stabbed myself in the neck with a rusty spoon when I read this. Then I read this: Circle of Doom is being developed separately from a true Kingdom Under Fire sequel, but will reportedly have some connections to that title. Trample the hogs and conjure the Curatio! Randomly generated level games usually suck, but I'll have to buy this anyway just because it's Kingdom Under Fire. Romier S
Yep, the developers are also working on a full on sequel to the Xbox Kingdom Under Fire games that will retain the strategy gameplay folks are accustomed to from the series. I'll definitely give the new game a try. I'm a sucker for a good hack and slash title. If the dungeons, weaponry, and combat work out well, I'll probably end up handing my money for it. Tonner Cyn
Achievements for KUF:CoD are out there. I've never played any of the previous entries in the series so I'm not tied to any strategy element those games used. Just kind of strange that it has taken this long to come out, and it still doesn't have an official release date (as far as I can tell). Bootzy44
Randomly generated level games usually suck Really?!? I love them, just this past year I threw in Diablo II and played through it again just for kicks, and it was all so fresh....(okay maybe not 100% fresh, but between not having played it in like 5 or 6 years and the randomly generated levels, it seemed new enough to capture my interest for a week or two). Then again, I love dungeon crawlers.
