Whooter
I suspect the answer to this is "yes", but does anyone know if opening a Dell desktop PC and installing a floppy drive voids the warranty? My girlfriend wants to buy a cheapie computer for her 11-year-old daughter to do her homework on, and we were trying to avoid paying $30 for a Dell-installed drive, mostly because 30 bucks for a 6 dollar floppy drive is outrageous... dogbert
Actually, I think the answer is no. Dell.com should have the details on your warranty etc if you enter the service code. Last time I checked, opening up the PC did not void the warranty - I was checking before I did a memory upgrade.
