Anthony G
Buy.com has the Xbox 360 Live Vision Camera Webcam for $38. At check out, don't login buy.com account but select "Google Checkout". Total then is $38 - auto $10 Google Checkout discount = $28 with free shipping. Eldorado
Thanks for the link Anthony. And if anyone was wondering, this works on any order. Such as the Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang HD-DVD they have priced at $31 with free shipping, now for $21. God only knows how long it will take to get here, but I'll take the wait for that incredible price break on an overpriced combo disc. I wonder how many times I can abuse this coupon this morning? Anthony G
No problem Sean. It also works for the 360 wireless controller: Buy.com has the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for $40. At check out, don't login buy.com account but select "Google Checkout". Total then is $40 - auto $10 Google Checkout discount = $30 with free shipping. JTello
Thanks for the heads up. I went with the Xbox 360 Live Vision Gold Pack for $58.99 after the $10 off, with free shipping. *Includes Xbox Live Vision Camera, 12-month Xbox Live subscription, Headset, 3 Arcade Games (UNO, Totemball, and Robotron 2084 - available for download from Xbox Live Marketplace), and 200 Marketplace Points. Peter O
Can that 12 month card be used to extend an existing subscription? If so, that's a great deal, basically spending $10 on the camera and pack-ins. Edit: It is now $74.99 before the discount. Hmmm...
Eldorado
Odie, I'm 99% certain that those cards also extend Live Membership.
JTello
Yes, the card can be used to extend your Live subscription. It is odd that the price went up $6 in the last 12 hours since I ordered. I always wonder how certain websites manage thier pricing. It's not the first time I saw a good deal only to see the price change shortly after. foogledricks
And the non-blind world sighs in relief as Keith is kept from owning a Live cam one day longer.Man, you only say that because you haven't seen my balls. On a related note, this google checkout thing is fabulous! I was debating whether to purchase BFME from Gamefly... then gamefly took $5 of their price making it $35... so I bit the bullet and decided to buy it (KEEP IT), then I saw google checkout, and I got it for $25!!! Now gamefly is sending me Dead Rising, and I own BFME.
Peter O
Can you use that $10 off $30 multiple times?
Eldorado
I have used it on two orders Peter. The second has already shipped.
Anthony G
Here is a complete list of the 20+ online retailers where you can use the google checkout of $10 off $30 or more on most products: http://www.google.com/checkout/10off30.html
foogledricks
Does Google eat the cost of these discounts? Basically, they're buying their way into this business... then they'll get rid of the discount once they get enough marketshare or whatever. I mean, now that I have a google account, I am going to use google checkout even if there isn't a discount now.
JTello
I think you are correct Keith, I think google is eating the cost for now. My order from Buy.com still shows as $68.99, yet google only charged me the $58.99. In the email from Google they even let you know that the purchase website will show the original price before discount.
HoolieMan
well, Google is paying at least $30 for my 3 orders...It would be interesting to know just how much they dish out during this promotions. I think I saved at least $30 during their initial launch of google payments when they had a similiar deal set up.
Peter O
Google must charge retailers a fee for the checkout service. I can't imagine they can eat $10 on each transaction for long. This reminds me of the crazy coupon days of the late 90s/early 00s during the .com boom. That being said, it certainly worked for me I had never used Google Checkout before, but the process was very smooth and easy, I will certainly use it in the future if the store offers it. Ditto. I received the Vision cam today, just in time for the Totemball release.
