Chris F
Downloaded it before I went off to work this morning... My guess is that there are a few maps on the actual disc, and all you download from Xbox Live is an activation code. The actual download size is 4 blocks, and I doubt you can get a whole map in that size.

Make sense, Chris. It's an interesting approach because it guarantees that they can stick to whatever delivery schedule they cooked up. I think I heard that RTCW is definitely guaranteed three maps and more are TBD. If that's true, I guess that means that they put three unlockable maps on the disc. -j
Chris F
Im hoping theres a way for them to add in the just released free Wolfenstein PC stuff, Enemy Territory.
Robot Monkey
Now, besides being free, I think new maps and a spy class are the main changes? -j
Chris F
It's more team oriented from what I saw. The one map I played involved the Allies trying to get a tank through a town, blowing up blockades and such. It seemed very cool and required a lot of teamwork. Robot Monkey
Okay, I ran through "Barn," the new RTCW level. Looks pretty cool. Allies need to blow up an arms cache in a gigantic barn in objective mode. The map has a long axis. The barn occupies the middle, with spawn buildings on either end of the long axis. Lots of levels and lots of hiding places. Like the IGN article says, it appears best for 4-on-4. Still, bigger teams like 8-on-8 look like a lot of action and a lot of fun. I hope to be around tonight to try it out. -j
